Pics of Ultima Trim Product

Been going through a couple pages back on threads.

Would love to see/hear some feedback on the Ultima Trim protectant.

Re: Pics of Ultima Trim Product

So far I'm not happy with it on tires. I don't know if it's from the tires not being clean enough or what. I've not managed to get more than one application on any set of tires yet. I plan on adding a second coat soon to see where that takes it.

SM, have you used Zaino's tire gloss? If so how does it compare to Megs hyper dressing. They look very much a like.

Re: Pics of Ultima Trim Product

No, I haven't. Honestly I probably wouldn't have tried the Ultima if I had not tried the beta product. The beta product darkened the trim on my mini van for several weeks when everything else went from days to a couple weeks which for me means that they didn't make it to a wash let alone through one.

I said all that to say that Hyper Dressing goes a long way when purchased in a gallon and works superb on tires. It will run if used on trim and collect dust as well. I will likely continue to use it on tires for the most part but on *my* car I will likely stick with Ultima on the tires.

I also found the the Ultima works really well on the lips of my 3 piece wheels. They were starting to show their age and I accidentally got some of the TTGP on the lip and it looked new. I went around the whole rim and it did the same for all of it. I did the other 3 as well. I'll see how it holds up over time. I don't drive the car a whole lot but I do drive it hard when I do.

Re: Pics of Ultima Trim Product

have you tried Black Wow? Just got some over here and it seems to go a VERY long way, work well at bringing back the finish, and so far quite durable.

Any thoughts on a comparison?

The Ultima looks very nice by the way - like the slight sheen it seems to give, quite like the BW.

Re: Pics of Ultima Trim Product

I really like the way that the Ultima looks on trim. I really want to try this product but I just cant justify the cost right now. Especially heading into winter when it wont matter what the car looks like anyways.

Maybe in the spring!

Re: Pics of Ultima Trim Product

Prime example of why you have to beware of pictures.

If you were to see the full sun shots you would double over in pain. She's a new but old client. It has it's full share of dealer prep issues along with her not having time when I have time for me to take care of them. During that time she used the local car wash which means that it had 10W30 on all the trim. Oops, sidetracked. It has whatever the dealer put on it. I will be correcting things in the future and it will likely have PGP on it.

Re: Pics of Ultima Trim Product

I have pgp on mines now. I have about 6 coats. I will show pictures this weekend. I really do like the pgp on black. It made the paint really show the metallic flake and it is also very wet. However i did use soveran exclusively in the summer. It darkened the paint to the point where you could not tell it was metaliic. But I really liked the look. That will be my summertime wax. The only cons is it attracted dust and did not last. But sice the pgp I now know what a slick surface is. I don''t know if youve ever tried the prima hydro but it makes the paint slicker then the ultima detail spray. I mean super slick. I guess it simular to aquawax. Sorry if I got off topic. I should receive the ultima tire and trim on thursday and post my thoughts over the weekend..

Re: Pics of Ultima Trim Product

Make sure to clean the trim good before application.

If your paint is as flat as the paint on that one then I can just imagine what it looked like with Souv on it. You have any current pics of it?
