Ultima vs Menzerna

How does the Ultima Polish compare to the Menzerna Polishes?

Re: Ultima vs Menzerna

I haven't used PPP as a finishing polish but I have removed some really light marring with it. At this point I'd have to say leave the polishing to Menzerna.

+1, couldn't get PPP to remove even the slightest swirl on my Audi paint. Used the same type of pad with PO85RD and the swirl came out immediately.

Re: Ultima vs Menzerna

Apples and oranges as there are no Ultima Polishes, especially not in plural. UPPP is what it is, as it's name indicates, a paint cleaner, preparing paint for sealant.

Re: Ultima vs Menzerna

I was under the impression that it would remove swirls, clean the paint and will add gloss....What makes that so different from a Menzerna Nano Polish?

Like Spoiled Man said, leave the polishing jobs to Menzerna

Re: Ultima vs Menzerna

If it is not going to remove swirls and scratches what is the big deal about it? I bought the sample kit assuming it would do that.

It WILL remove them. I know for fact because it removed them for me. Its pad dependent. Think of it as an AIO from the Ultima line. It preps the surface and lays down a micro layer of the Ultima protectant to prep the surface for UPGP.

Re: Ultima vs Menzerna

Which pad did you use? I have Lake Country Pads, I have White Polishing Pads and Orange Light Cut Pads, which should I use?

Re: Ultima vs Menzerna

Orange for getting out swirls, white for your finishing polishes.

Difference is in what it is best for. Considering any polish out there, from most abrasive one to practically non-abrasive cleaner one, fits the description of "removes swirls, cleans the paint, adds gloss" it is all about where on the scale they are and their intended purpose. Yes, UPPP will remove some swirls. However, I find it works best as bonding agent for UPGP while 106FF (and other relatives, like Nano) is best for bringing that paint to stage at which you want to put bonding agent and sealant. BTW, if you will not be using UPGP as sealant using UPPP would be pointless. Also, you do not have to use UPPP to put UPGP, it is just my impression two together end up in best result.

P.S. Isn't using orange pad with final polish opposite of what one is trying to achieve, like one step forward, one step back?
