Quick question

Hello everyone

I just recieves my sample pack of ULTIMA and cant wait to see what everyone is talkin about.

I love my Klasse but I have heard this stuff is better

Anyways, I was just wondering that if for some reason I dont like the product, how do I remove it from the car so I can put Klasse back on.

I use my Klasse once a year and before I do I always Dawn wash the car but wasnt sure if this stiff would need something else because of the Polycharge

Thanks
DAN

Re: Quick question

If you also have Klasse AIO that should do a good job of getting it off and giving you a good base for the SG. If you do have the AIO then you don't need to worry about washing with Dawn, there isn't anything that Dawn would remove that the AIO won't.

Report back on how you like the Ultima.......

Re: Quick question

hello

Well I just finished up with the Ultima tonight

Clay Bar
PPP
1 coat of PGP

one concern

I dont know if I put to much on but i waited about an hour after applying the PGP and there is haze marks all over. I thought it was saposed to disapear in like 10 min? Also it didnt seem like I got the whole effect like the everyone says the product is saposed to do when they say you can see it disapear. I put it on and it looked like I was smearing Armoral all over the car?

Im hoping it will disapear by tom

Did I do something wrong?

Re: Quick question

Sounds like you used waaay too much. It depends on temps/humidity, but for me it dries in about 30 secs-1 min max. If after 10-20 mins it doesnt clear up, I would hit it with the QD.

Re: Quick question

I do 3 maybe 4 sprays on the applicator and it lasts me through about 2 panels. so I usually do about 20 sprays for the whole vehicle. I've done 4 coats on my car, and the slickness is truly amazing

Re: Quick question

Well I applied another coat and this time I did like 3/4 sprays for the whole hood and 2 for all the other panels

I put it on and then rubbed it in to the point of it disapearing.

Is this how it is saposed to be applied?

I mean when I was done with the panel it didnt apear to have any of the stuff on it?

Re: Quick question

you just wipe it on, no rubbing required, walk away........

it will look as if nothing is there at all, but let it dry for 1 hour before moving or touching the car again! and you should be alright. typical complete cure time for pgp is 12 hours, this can be accellerated by driving the car after it has sat for 1 hour....

Re: Quick question

My experience is similar to bwalker25. I've done 3 or 4 coats on my minivan and I put it on very thin. Once the pad is primed, 1-2 spritzes applied to the sponge per panel is usually enough. In the right light, I can see a thin layer being deposited on the panel. If it's thin, it disappears in about 20 minutes. If I get it on a little heavy, it might take an hour to disappear.

The depositing is most noticeable on black trim and silver surfaces where even the thinnest layers will change the appearance of the surface. After drying, both surfaces look normal except they are slick. Painted surfaces look very shiny.
