Re: (Diminishing) shine of UPGP?

Maybe the touchles car wash since I know some use some pretty heavy degreasers etc to foam and clean with.

Re: (Diminishing) shine of UPGP?

some of the touchless washes add a gloss agent to the final step..and it lasts a few days..then it degrades..and the residue makes paint grabby and dull looking...its to get you back again next week...lol

This may be the problem....Just guessing ..but I found out the hard way using the touchless wash...I do not get any extras now..just a wash...and when I use them in winter time only now....

If this is the case using a QD should remove the "interferring agent".

yes it does...but you need one with a cleaner in it....the stuff they use is like the wax in the wand wash...lol..it may look good for a few day..but then it dies and its like your paint is oxidized..lol. ruff and dull....its best to not even use the wax stuff...pure junk...its a gimmick to get you back...for the just waxed shine...

Re: (Diminishing) shine of UPGP?

A qd will remove the residue from the touchless wash. A lot of my zaino customers use touchless washes and have never had a problem with it diminishing the surface ever or loosing it's slickness.
But they all do complain about the strong chemicals staining the untreated trim.

You right about that AL.

Heck even when I covered my used cars last year with DG 105, I ran them through the touchless wash in the winter and they all still looked great after.

Re: (Diminishing) shine of UPGP?

I'd probably go with a traditional wash to remove the residue. That way there is no "interference" with the product testing caused by using the QD which *is* PC'd and will boost the product.
