Yep, it will mar depending on the lube used and the paint used on with said lube. I get marring using ONR diluted and get pretty much none using DG wash solution. At any rate, you're missing out if you haven't used one of these on a car that's in serious need of claying. This stuff cleans NOW.

Hence my post that difference is $18 and (that you don't get) bottle of lubricant. Then I double-checked prices and Ultima is actually $38 so I re-edited my post to say that difference is $28 and bottle of lubricant.
P.S. It is nice lubricant. I don't feel it is $28 nice though. | Where can these be had for $10?????

On the other hand, to be fair, that hood gets swirls just because it didn't like how you looked at it. Not as bad as that BMW though. Quote: |

Like prontissimo. I can atest to that. Paint that pulls back on your finger tips as if it has super glue on it gets real smooth real fast.

I didn't follow that thread, as I don't care for MO very much.
I would still like to know where these can be had for $10.

I couldn't find that PM right now, I might have saved it or saved link from it, that's what I need to find. In the meantime people were saying regular body shop stores.

I spot clay (but don't polish) with every wash so I'm looking at this and the DF Peerless sponge as a viable alternative (not have to worry about clay being dropped, more use, etc). This is the only thread I could find that reviewed the DF Peerless sponge: http://autopia.org/forum/detailing-p...ss-sponge.html
However, the elastrofoam seems to be equivalent to a moderately abrasive clay from what's said so far. Just to confirm: Is it possible to use it with little or no pressure to make it the equivalent of a mild clay? In the instances of marring, it was used on an already washed/cleaned car, right? If so, can rinsing or spraying with the special lube with each pass eliminate the marring, that is, is the marring from trapped particles or from the rubber itself?

Pad and hood were thorougly soaked in lubricant. Yes, car was washed real well prior to that (and it better should have been or otherwise I would be deserving whatever marring I got plus being slapped upside down the street and being called Shirley).
