Comparison of Ultima to Souveran?

Hi folks.

I have been using Wolfgang's with a Souveran topper for several years now on all my rides.

has anyone compared Ultima to Souveran in a straight side-by side comparison?

I'm curious if I could use Ultima alone, without applying a Souveran topper.

could it be that a polymer product could outshine Souveran.....on a RED vehicle?

thanks!

Re: Comparison of Ultima to Souveran?

Oh, you bet I did a side-by-side. One of our first test vehicles was a red Chevy SSR. It was smokin hot with PGP. Just as deep and dark as the Souveran, but much clearer.

Now, in all fairness, I have had two people write and tell me that PGP does not cover/mask swirls as well as Souveran/P21S. That's true. It takes 3-4 coats of this stuff before it starts to mask swirls. That's why we made PPP... it removes the swirls!

Re: Comparison of Ultima to Souveran?

I'm going to have to try Ultima; claims like that warrant an in person test.

Re: Comparison of Ultima to Souveran?

With Souveran sort of "out of the way," I'm waiting on someone comparing Ultima to an estate glaze. From what I've read, the draw of an estate glaze is the color reproduction, reflection, depth, and durability in one 100-3000 dollar package but it seems like all these characteristics, Ultima packs too, but at 70 dollars.

Re: Comparison of Ultima to Souveran?

I have used most of the Zymol Estate Glazes, and P21S and Souveran blow them all away (IMHO).

db

P.S., Durability? Estate Glaze... That's a joke, right?

Re: Comparison of Ultima to Souveran?

Now it is, I guess.

Of course it's just marketing but the marketing I read about Vintage says that its carnauba content makes it last a good while.

All the same I'd like to see if Ultima can convert someone off of his or her 1800 dollar tub of wax.

Look, no offense to Mr. Chuck Benett... he's a master marketer. In general, people who buy Zymol Estate Glazes don't buy them because they are "the best"; they have them because the money doesn't matter... just like the Bentley they drive.

Which Zaino product? Ultima is a brand, just like Zaino. ou will need to be a bit more specific about which products you want me to compare.

How about all of them?

Your line up sounds interesting.

I'd like to understand what makes Ultima stand out from the rest.

I realize that Ultima is risk free via the $ back guarantee, but I'd like some more information before pulling the trigger.

Each product in the line uses new technology. We really started from ground zero on just about everything.

The Tire & Trim and Interior sealants have no equal. Quite simply, no one else has succeeded in doing this... and others have tried.

Ultima Paint Guard Plus paint sealant is more durable than any other "consumer" based product we have tried. That includes all of the Zaino products. I don't make this claim lightly. Zaino was the only product that even comes close. The best way for me to demo this is a side-by-side video test. I will work on it.

How PGP looks and feels will be very subjective. People are loyal to brands and they see what they want to see and feel what they want to feel. What I can tell you is that, to my eye, PGP is much slicker and offers a deeper, wetter-looking finish that Zaino CS or Z-2 PRO.

Ultima Paint Guard Wash is also a new technology. It's the only product I know of that will wash dirty tires and wheels and keep on sudsing. Not even Dawn suds as well cleaning tires and wheels, yet our soap is so gentle it won't harm the most delicate Carnauba waxes (P21S wax loves it!).

Ultima Paint Prep Plus uses a new abrasive that we developed with the abrasive manufacturer. It is twice fired to create an outer shell over a hard kernel. The outer shell cuts fast, breaks away, and the kernel does the fine polishing.

more later...
