I've applied a coat of Ultima to my WRX after an ONR wash, and I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

Interesting that you should ask. I collected a sample of one of the the leading warranty systems (Perma Plate) to conduct a test. Perma Plate holds up pretty well to detergent washings (fails after 4-5 washings with Dawn) and seems to be a very rugged system.

Ultima could be used as a warranty system in kit form. We have thought about it but are not sure if that is the right market for the product.
