Some questions for PGP users

This question is to those of you who have used the PGP product.

I'm getting old, but I like my cars to look super nice. What is your true experience applying this product? Do you need to rub hard? I can't rub hard because it makes my hands and elbows hurt.

One more question for you all. Is washing any easier? The less I have to wash -- or at least the easier it is -- the better for me. I would prefer to drive through a touchless wash tunnel.

Thank you, Charlie

Re: Some questions for PGP users

Hi Charlie,

I can tell you beyond a shadow of a doubt that this is the easiest product I have ever used to apply. Im not saying its a miracle product but it is literally spray wipe walk away. Its nothing like a wax or a sealant. I did my whole Nissan Maxima tonight in 7 minutes and I was not moving fast.

I find that car washes are about the same its just a little easier to dry because the water sheets off so well. I would say that you can go through the touchless wash but you would just have to do some minor touch ups when you leave. IME touchless washes are not the best at drying nor getting the rear clean so when I get home I always follow up with some Poorboys Spray and Wipe.

I hope this helps, if I can answer any more questions please let me know!

Re: Some questions for PGP users

William,

Thank you so very much for your thoughtful reply. I tried the Klasse products on David's recommendation and the silver bottle was a royal pain to get off. Lynn told me I was using too much so I tried a second go round. Suspect I just don't got the knack for it. Anyway, I phoned David tonight explaining my situation and he agreed to refund me on the Klasse products and credit me for the Ultima Paint Guard. So it looks like I will be able to try it this weekend.

Thanks much for the offer to assist.

Charlie

No problem Charlie. The Klasse that you are talking about is referred to as Klasse SG and it can be a major PITA to remove. The best method is to wipe it on and immediately wipe it off. I just did not care for the SG, it was too much work for such little return. Im sure that you will like the Ultima. Please let us know your thoughts once you have a chance to use it!

Re: Some questions for PGP users

Charlie,
I have used the Paint Guard Plus (PGP), in conjunction with the Paint Prep Plus (PPP) and found the system to be very simple and easy to apply, depending on the substrate it is being applied to. For example, a new car with a good clear coat, will have an effortless application process, but an older car or one with no care taken, may take some elbow grease to remove the PPP.
The PGP is easy to use, one just mists the applicator and rubs the product into the paint and sit back.
I would think that this is not a difficult system for anyone to apply/remove.

You would think its so easy why everyone would not go to it! Almost seems so easy you wonder how it protects so good??
