Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 31 | My First Ultima Detail - The Pictures Well, as promised, here are some pictures from my first detail with the Ultima products. The process was completed per my previous thread, but since then, I have also completed two additional applications of the Paint Guard Plus, for a total of three.
These were quick photo's, just to practice the upload process and give everyone an idea of the results. If anyone would like, I can take more pictures, if there are particular shots desired. Let me know.
The water beading, the depth, the wetness is second to none, and in less than half the completion time of the other systems/products. Unfortunately, I am not at the skill level, where I feel comfortable taking on the usual GM orange peel, sorry, maybe in the future.
As mentioned, I am new to this level of detailing, and I want to thank everyone for the sharing of information on this site.
Thanks. | |

I thought i saw on the site, that 2-3 applications are recommended, so I don't know at this point if it would not be fruitful to add more coats. I will be using the ultima car soap and spray in between.

Paint looks great. Nice, rich color.

Can we put the PGP on everything on the exterior, i.e. glass, wheels, etc?

I put it on plastic mud guards, plastic license plate mounts, wind shield wiper arms, and rubber trim and after the first rain it was gone. There was no noticeable difference, it did not look like any thing was applied.

You can apply it to all exterior surfces and it will offer great protection. On black trim, PGP won't offer the nice satin look that most people like.
