Ultima TTGP - Chrom wheel use?

I read the bottle today and saw the comment about applying to the wheels, and where it is safe for chrome and aluminum.
Has anyone actually tried applying this product beyond rubber and plastic trim, such as chrome wheels, and if so, how was it applied and how did it work?

I applied it to the wheels of my Grand Prix and it applied easy and was really slick at first, after a couple of days of driving all slickness was gone and the finish was really "grabby" it almost seemed to make the dirt stick more. The next wash I had to scrub pretty hard to get the dirt off, the next time I used the Paint Guard and haven't had any problem with that.
