Please read my original post in this thread. I'm very clear on the challenge.

Re: Ultima Paint Care Challenge

Rather than going thru a comparison test, why don't you sell small (1-2 oz) samples of the protectant. Not in a sample kit as you mentioned in an earlier post. Just the protectant alone. This is an appearance test so prepping with your pre-polish should not effect application on a well prepped vehicle.
For the detailer that maximizes appearance via prep no LSP will demonstrate any great improvement in appearance. The difference is in longevity of the appearance and protection.
For me, it just isn't worth the merry-go-round to pay shipping twice to re-discover this fact.
This is not to say that your product(s) will not produce a wonderful appearance but I truly do not believe from decades of experience that this product will set itself heads and shoulders above other premium LSP on an excellent prepped vehicle.

My challenge to you is to sell these small samples. If this Ultima is that good, orders will follow.

Re: Ultima Paint Care Challenge

I'm not going to just offer the sealant in a small sample bottle. This is a system. Slopt the sealant on a bad finish and you get bad results. Plus, I won't ruin the brand we're developing by sending out product in unmarked bottles with no instructions.

I am in the process of making a small boxed kit. The kit will contain:

- 4 oz bottle Ultima Paint Prep Plus
- 4 oz bottle Ultima Paint Guard Plus
- 4 oz bottle Ultima Detail Spray Plus
- 1 oz pouch Ultima Paint Guard Wash
- Microfiber applicator
- Instruction booklet

The bottles, caps and sprayers are ordered.
The Labels are being made.
The User's Guide is in progress.

I will make every effort to have this cranked out by early september. We will make a total of 900 of these kits. If the response is good, I will take it to the next level and make it a permanent "retail" item.

I will set the pricing after I know my complete cost.

Why don't you try it? Get your own opinion based off of first hand experience. Not speculation and then make a decision. I have only used the Polish and Sealant together on a car that was previously treated all Zaino. ZPC and PPP are similar in looks from seeing it on this car which was a light blue metallic. PPP was harder to remove as one spot had some that dried and was a PITA to remove lol. Sealant wise there was no comparison Zaino lost hands down it was Z2 x2 then Z8. And took some time to apply PGP was very quick and easy to apply made the job alot easier. But granted with what you say it is expensive but you do get alot out of the bottle I have hardly used any and have done 2 layers on my personal car and 2 different cars one a customers and one a friends and used barely any product.

Anywho end rant lol.

Steelth your review is what I have been looking for. Even with your review I would like to try it myself.

That's the reason why I would love to try a sample size. I detail for fun not for a living, so speed is not part of the equation. Appearance and longevity of such is.
Like everyone I am curious about any new product but living with Autopia for the last 6 years, being completely satisfied with the performance of my present regimen and entirely tired of having full portions of LSP's collecting dust has harden me against leaping at every new formulation that appears.
As I stated, a sample size will quench my curiosity.

I can can understand why David may or may not offer smaller / sample sizes and he would not be alone. To be fair Sal doesn't offer such sizes but he does have a large number of users (like myself) that send out samples when someone is curious and interested in trying the system before jumping in with both feet (wallet ).

I wouldn't go that far with respect that appearance is sooo subjective and appearance is what we (I) am analyzing here.

To add onto my previous post the appearance IMO of course was similar to a multilayered Zaino car Z2 + Z8 or Z5 + Z2 + Z8 but I would actually say it seemed as if the gloss was slightly more with the PGP with one layer. Like we all know this stuff is opinion based. I would dish out some sample but I think I'll wait for David to put out the sample size before I go giving things out. I would be interested in your opinion once you try it though blzZ28Conv. I want to see how a Zaino'ite would rate the product.

I'm pretty sure this is a wonderful product. DavidB would not be sticking his neck out so far with this challenge if it weren't so.

Re: Ultima Paint Care Challenge

Challenge ends September 1, 2007.

Shouldn't this challenge last longer? From what I've read Ultima will last 6 months or more. Isn't it possible that some product comparisons will take 2 or 3 months or even longer to determine the final results?

So far, it does not appear that anyone has actually taken the challenge that I put forth. I want products used side-by-side on the same car. That is the challenge.

I'm writing up new literature now for a permanent 110% money back. If ya don't like it... if it's not everything I say and more... please send it back!

I don't believe I have, in any way shape or form, misrepresented what the Ultima products do. However, we all work differently, and we won't all like the same things. If you don't like the Ultima products, we don't want you to be stuck with them. We want to give you your money back so you can get what you like.

The fact is, we spent years testing other products. We know how well our products perform, and we know why they perform. We spent years understanding the science... then we spent another full year working on the formula until it worked the way it was supposed to work.

Anyway, I think we have the new benchmark and we're willing to put our money where our mouth is.

Re: Ultima Paint Care Challenge

Thanks for the clarification. I agree that with a price premium of $100 for both the Paint Prep and sealant that a money back guarantee is reassuring.
