I have been waiting for the towels to come in... they finally did. I'm finishing the Ultima User's Guide this week and it will go off to print. I can start building out the kits this next week for production by the end of the month.

Any problem with using polishes you already have and doing 2 layers of PGP?

None at all. PGP is a very foregiving product. I have tried it with the following:

- Sonus
- Four Star
- Menzerna
- 3M Perfectit-III
- Meguiar's Professional
- Poorboys
- Chemical Guys
- Pinnacle XMT & Pinnacle Advanced SMR

Is what acrylic based, Ultima Paint Guard Plus? If that's your question, it's not even close to being an acrylic.

In regards to our formula, I can't discuss it until after the patents are issued. Even then, most of what we have accomplished will be trade secret for many, many years.

Re: Ultima FAQ

Regarding Ultima Tire & Trim Guard (warning, noob questions!):

It seems like some trim dressings will provide exterior vinyl or rubber with conditioners to help them last and not crack. Does Ultima TTG provide any conidtioners for trim?

I am also using Black Wow for my plastic black trim. It does seem to restore the faded black color on the trim. How does TTG compare?

Thanks!

Re: Ultima FAQ

I applied PGP a few weeks ago but i didn't have time to do a good job. I just want to know what will REMOVE PGP from the surface of my car? Clay, polish, cleaner wax, PPP?

This stuff is so different from what I have been using, takes some time to get use to it. I want more info so I can use the products properly. The tire stuff was also kinda weird too, after the sponge got all black I didn't really wana apply it to the rims...wasn't sure which side of the sponge to use either.

Tried the Elastrofoam, did spend too much time but I think I much rather a normal clay bar.

Did PPP by hand, did not really work it in and did not see any results. I did not have access to a electrical outlet so didn't use my PC. (Underground parking garage in and apartment complex)

Anyways, I will be doing a thorugh clean of my car and just want to remove the exsisting layer of PGP and clay out all other contaminates.

Any help to claify my problems will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Re: Ultima FAQ

David,
I am getting the Elastrofoam and UPG+ today. After I use the Elastrofoam should I rewash and dry the car before applying the Paint Guard+? You application notes on your web site just say to wipe off the gel from the Elastrofoam.

Bob, The gel is a water-based lubricant. We originally developed and patented the product for wet sanding new cars at the factory. When used panel, by panel and wiped off before drying, it will not leave a residue. The benefit of the product is that is will not run off the car, you can work it longer, and it provides a heavier film of lubrication than detail spray.

Re: Ultima FAQ

DavidB: So that means if there is no access to water or just very limited access (for example small bottle of water) could i just use a damp MF and wipe off the excess Elastrofoam then?
