Oh, my goodness, no! You would waste a lot of money if you did. Ultima Paint Guard Plus is a very high performance polymer paint sealant. It is 10 to 15 time more concentrated than any cream or paste wax available. It will easily offer long term gloss and protection for up to 9 months. It may be as easy to use as a detail spray, but please don't use it like one. | Understandable.
Would you reccommend specifically using Ultima QD, or would others, like Megs Ultimate QD work as well?
Would there be any benefit to using Polycharger with these products?
I would like to try the Ultima line, but really do not want to throw away the products I still have.
Thanks | |

Thanks | In my experience, just about all QDs out there work quite well with Ultima once it is cured (24 hours). So, yes, please... use what you have.
There's no need to mix Ultima with Polycharger... Ultima IS Polycharger. We developed Polycharger as a product of our Ultima sealant product development. Ultima is the purest form of Polycharger. Polycharger contains an emulsion system that is not necessary in Ultima Paint Prep Plus.
I would be happy to give a $25 trade-in on Polycharger CH2 kits with any purchase of $100 or more of our Ultima products.

David correct me if Im wrong here, arent most QDs just like oil on top of water so to speak? The QD kind of floats there if you will and gives a little shine but rain or a wash will remove it right away. There is no real "bond" or protective aspects unless its something like Z8. Am I right or wrong?

Your statement is 100% true of most wipe-n-shine products. However, many of the products discussed here do have decent polymers that will last through a wash:
Ultima
Sonus
Pinnacle
Ultimate
Wolfgang
Blackfire
Menzerna
Zaino
SmartWax
All of these products I have tested and have good protective qualities. The new Meguiar's Ultimate Detailer is also supposed to be pretty good, but I have not tested it yet.

Individually, the price of the products are a bit hard to swallow. Like I mentioned previously, I've never been interested in Zaino due to the cost of the system, but now that Ultima is out, all of a sudden their prices seem affordable. You can break down the cost all day long and make it seem like it's affordable when you look at cost per application, but that's not really how consumers think. If that's how Americans think, we'd all be sending in $20 a month to Christian Children's Fund since it costs less than a cup of coffee a day.
For me, I thought CS was a bit too expensive so I purchased OS instead since it was a similar product, cost less, and I got more product. Now I look at Ultima PGP and I realize for about the same amount, I can get the Zaino triplets and have 3 products instead of just 1.
If it was a discounted kit price, I could see myself asking my wife to get me that for Xmas, but at this point, I think Ultima's prices have turned me on more to your competitors than to you. I hope that in the end, you prove me wrong, but I have a feeling Americans aren't ready for Ultima prices just yet.

We're runnng radio ads this week that include mention of the Ultimate Detailing products and that have produced some calls and walk-in business. So far, I've sold one UDM but the chemical prices are running into price resistance.
There is also a bit of a contradiction in selling the machine with products that each come with an applicator. The customers are a bit confused by that. Not being an expert on the product line yet, I've noted that the machine can be used with other products as well plus provide ease of application instead of using the provided hand applicators. However, the wipe-and-walk-away selling point of PG+ and the spray nozzle for PP+ makes that a somewhat shaky explanation.

Im guessing the new PPP is going to be a little more aggressive than your UPP+ in attacking swirls?
