I've just started using the 425 without Polycharger - Works well and, at first glance, seems to shed dust faily well.
After a few days, I may try some Polycharger with FK1 in an inconspicuous place and post what I find. (Unless DavidB has some insights beforehand....)

I do wonder about the shelf-life once it's PC'ed though
Oh, and I just noticed that S63 in your signature line

Mixing Polycharger with Sprays
When mixing sprays, remove the sprayer and add the proper dosing of Polycharger. There are no shelf life concerns with boosting detailing sprays, so Polycharger can be added directly to the original product bottle. Put the cap back on the spray bottle and shake well. Shake again before each use.
The S63 is a fun ride... I noticed you're in NE Ohio - I'm a Pittsburgh guy... Spotty showers in the forecast over the next several days, so I probable won't try this until next week...

Yeah, this weather is gonna keep things messy for a while.
Do you put many miles on the S63 or is it a special-occasion car like my S8 is? I used the S8 for a daily driver until I started taking good care of it, but now, heh heh, it seems like I only take it out when I'm gonna hit a deer
I assume you have a good Benz dealer; I switched to Audis because I can't do business with the Benz dealers in my area...they just don't get it; I wouldn't let them service my lawn mower.

(Radar/laser + stealth - Need a deer detector here, too!) Have an X5 for winter. Only had it a month: 1100 miles so far.
I just came back to Bens after having a few BMW 7 series. I am partial to normally aspirated engines as opposed to turbos. The S63 fit the bill for me. Wife had a good experience with her M-class. Don't know abour my dealer service for AMG yet.
Nice ride w/ the S8. :xyx Quattro makes great sense where we live...
Was thinking about an S class 4matic, but the adolescent inside got the best of me!!!

I put the first 2-3K or so on the S8 very fast, but here I am six years later with only 13K on it! I never ended up bolting on the winter wheels/tires as the salt plays havoc with the appearance of the (aluminum) undercarriage components, even when I clean them regularly...oughta reconsider that as the spare wheels/tires aren't doing me any good just hanging there on the wall (the summer tires are *awful* in the cold, even without snow).
And yeah, some cars are a lot more fun RWD I'd rather have that drivetrain than AWD if *I* were buying an S class too. Hope your dealer turns out to be OK (and that you don't need to visit him very often).

Join Date: Jul 2007 Posts: 73 | Experiment begun... Polycharged the 425 this evening using H2O at the same dosage ratio as most QD sprays (1 dose per every 4 ounces).
Couple quick observations: Application
1. Polycharger thickens the 425 considerably. 425 is fairly thick to begin with. Perhaps a lower dose may have been in order.
2. Streaking - The 425 seemed oily. Could not use a "flip towel often" technique. Needed a second deep pile microfiber to buff & remove streaks.
3. Warm areas - Very streaky on the hood while it was warm. Wiping and buffing on the other, cooler parts of the car was easier, but still a bit of a chore. My guess would be that PC'd 425 would not apply well at all to warm surfaces.
4. General - 425 w/ PC takes a bit of the "quick" out of QD. Almost like applying a wax in that its thickness required me to work it to ensure even application. Then, wiping with a dry MF required some effort to avoid streaks and buff to shine. Definitely more effort than 425 alone. Is it worth the time/effort? Appearance/Results
It was getting dark, but appearance appears to be the same as 425 as before. Deeper than most QD's, not as plactic-y. Feels a touch slicker, but could be the placebo effect.
If anybody is interested, I'll report back later regarding appearance, static/dust accumulation, etc.

I'd appreciate any follow-up info.
