Re: Ultima Sprayer Cap

My sprayer has seized up and the blue cap is on and the sprayer is screwed on tightly. There is nothing else I could have done to prevent this short of placing the entire bottle in an airtight container and I'm not even sure that would have prevented it from seizing up. There is a flaw in the design and it should be addressed, especially considering the high price tag. $70 and now I can't even apply more until I spend yet another $1.50 on a flawed sprayer design.

Re: Ultima Sprayer Cap

'Hi this is my first post here, after lurking around the forum for a couple of weeks I decided to join. I recently purchased a bottle of Ultima Paint Guard Plus which is an amazing product and well worth the money in my opinion but I too am having issues with the sprayer. The screw top does not want to stay tight, I magically find it loose and I am concerned about overtightening it as I do not want to ruin the bottle or its contents. Has anyone succeded in getting a free replacement sprayer? For the the price maybe the product should ship with two sprayers. Anyways, this is in no way putting the product down as it has exceeded my expectations but rather some constructive critisisim to make a good product even better.I will be ordering some more Ultima products soon and see about a new spray head. '

Re: Ultima Sprayer Cap

I have found the solution to this problem. I take all my Ultima bottles and empty them into these:
The Container Store > Shop Bottles & Medication > Translucent Mister Cylinder Bottles

Re: Ultima Sprayer Cap

ya im sorry too, but i think the sprayer is also flawed. ive gotten a replacement because one broke and leaked. i started using the 2nd sprayer and same problem. i dont feel like spending more money or to keep on asking for more replacements if its just going to keep on breaking/seizing up.

Re: Ultima Sprayer Cap/ sprayer

'Hi I just got my Ultima PGP and Elastrofoam. I did my wife\'s red Mazda today. It had Klasse AIO on it and it was about 3 months old. So I did the Elastrofoam and the UPGP and it looks great. Very easy to use. It is dark now so I can\'t wait to see it in th AZ sun tomorrow.\r\nAny way my question? I also struggled with your sprayer, not so much the size but the function. By the end of the detail it was acting itermitent. I came to the fourm and learned about puttting the blue cap on immediately ater use, but also have the issue of it staying on sercurely. Possibly the PGP being too slick? Anyway I am not a professional detailer so this bottle should last me a good long time with only 2 vehicles. \r\nIs there some cleaning and or maintenance ( like cycling it in something after use to prevent cloggin, and close the bottle with the original cap) I need to do to the sprayer/product to make it last a while. Hate to have to buy several back ups to get me throught the bottle? And really hate to loose my investment to air contamination.\r\nProduct is great and any help would be greatly apprecaited.\r\nThanks Chuck'

Re: Ultima Sprayer Cap

My sprayer also gave up and Ive kept the blue cap on 100% of the time when not using the product. The sprayer doesnt spring back any longer and seems to lose prime easily. Lynn is sending a replacement but seeings as how I used the stuff twice and the sprayer gave up, I doubt I get through the bottle with this sprayer.

Re: Ultima Sprayer Cap

I am having a problem with the sprayer cap not staying on-any product gets into it or is left on the spray nozzle and the cap pops back off immediately. I have to clean the inside of the cap out with a Q-tip and then wipe down the nozzle to get it to stay on. The sprayers themselves loosen up on their own as well. I have to check them every few days to make sure they are still tight.

Oddly enough, I have never been able to get the sprayer cap to stay on the bottle of UPGP but the sprayer itself works flawlessly. Go figure, eh?

I think maybe a sprayer like is used on Opti-Seal and Clear Seal might work better.

As of tomorrow, all remaining 12 oz. bottles will ship with two sprayers.

In late October we will release a new bottle and sprayer. The labels are with the printer today.

When the new bottles are ready, I will follow up with sending everyone who purchased the original bottle a new bottle to use.

This issue is being worked as quickly as possible.

Cool sounds great !!! Is that for all the products that use those sprayers since I have the entire line ?
