Re: RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel

I agree 100% witrh everyones observations I this product and I can't wait for it to be released. The trim on my truck has been through numerous rains and washings and the water still beads. The trim still looks like new.

This is by far the most durable trim product I have used. Trust me I have tried just about everyone out there.

Re: RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel

UPDATE:

I'm going through my second round of testing with the spray version of the T&T Sealant, and all I can say at this point is WOW! The spray version is:

1. Easier to apply (uses the micro sprayer)

2. Goes further (takes about .5 oz to apply two generous coats to all four of my 19" low profile tires)

3. Same nice look

4. Same durability

Once the applicator was soaked from applying T&T Sealant to my tires, there was enough product to do all of my trim (rockers, valances, wiper arms, grill) without using more product. That means a 12 oz. spray bottle will treat 18 to 24 cars, which is really nice, because I don't get anywhere near that many applications from most 16 oz bottle of protectant.

A spray version hmmmmm that sounds very nice indeed. if it is anything like the stuff I am using there is no reason not to use it . even if there is not a spray version you still did a fantastic job coming up with this product. I know everybody including myself is anxious to have this in our product line up. thanks for the updates and the product line. this is the one area that I felt really needed to be changed. not matter what I tried the apprearance would not last long enough for me. thanks again . looking forward to the release for public purchase.

Re: RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel

After reading everyone's input, I decided maybe 2 layers weren't enough to do justice to my tires. They had faded, were still black, but not holding up as well as I had hoped for. They were no worse than anything else, but certainly, not leaps and bounds better.

I put a 3rd coat on, and it seems to have made a big difference. The tires have held up well through rain and a car wash. Maybe the additional coats do make a difference. They did in my case.

By the way, all trim that I applied to is still looking very nice, after only 1 application.l

Re: RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel

Sam,

I have concluded from my own testing, and from the feedback here, that every tire is going to be different. Age, manufacturer, tire structure, use, weather... all play into how well this product (and any product) performs. There are simply too many variables for everyone to experience the same results.

What I am noticing is that once the tire sidewall becomes saturated with the sealant that it seems to hold pretty well. With my new tires, saturation was achieved with 1-2 uses. With my older tires it took 3-4 uses. Nevertheless, you can tell the protection is in place by how well the tires bead water.

With the spray version, because the gel is much thinner, sidewall absorbtion (sp?) seems to be much, much faster. As a result, initially we may release only the spray version.

The feedback we have received from this testing is invaluable. To be sure we will print "fact" regarding what people can honestly expect. Results are based on the tires being treated and proper application. With each additional use the "durability" and long-lasting appearance increases.

I believe we have an honest 1-month tire treatment and 2-month trim treatment, which is easily double what any other product on the market can offer. The final goal is to make it super-easy to apply, and I believe we nailed that with the spray version of Tire & Trim Sealant.

Absolutely! I notice every tire is different in those manners, and how the dressings look as well.

As for my trim, it is going strong, I really like!

Hope to get new pics this weekend after a wash, my schedule and an illness has kept me from doing things Not to mention last week my car got hit on the freeway

Re: RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel

So this product will work on trim thats kinda faded, like wiper cowls, and the trim around windows? If it brings back their fresh black look and last longer then other dressings, I'm buying it!!
