My testing came to an end............

It has been about 2.5 weeks, and I took my summer tires / rims off the car and just put my snow package on.

The tires still looked black as I was taking the rims off. I deep cleaned the rims with wheel cleaner once they were off the car for winter storage, and after the final rinse on 2 of the 4 tires a light dull brown was showing through what was left of the satin black coating. Ironically, these were the 2 newer tires and the 2 older tires on the car still looked decent (black but not glossy at all).

I have my winter setup on now, and will start over next time I wash the car with a fresh coat of tire sealant.

I washed my F150 today and the trim still looks awesome. It has been two weeks and the car has been through at least 2 rains. I do feel this product needs to be buffed really well after applying. I did notice some run off during the rain.

All and all the trim still looks great with no fading. RDF T and T Looks like a winner to me....

Idid the same today. It has been at least weeks 24/7 outdoors and rains around 3 times a week, sometimes more. I washed and did nothing to the trim or tires beyond that as they still looked great. Not really glossy tires, but mat and very new looking. The trim looked like the day it was applied. The best product for trim and tires that I have tried. And, the beeding is tight and small too .

well this last friday i had the chance to wash the 98 1.8t a4 I worked on with the rdf test kit. For those that do not know it has been pouring, flooding, and raining for the 10 days preceding me getting a chance to revisit the car.

The sealant on the tires held up well. Even having been drivin through multiple 6-8 inch swamp like roads. It Actually held up as good or better than my 3 layers of poorboys bright and bold.

The trim sealant on black metal trim, I was really suprized that the windshield wiper and the A and B pillars held up really well. Normally these two seem to fail first when using pb,303,megs trim products.

The rubberized plastic door seals and window trim. They seemed to hold up welll. But i started to see some blotchy areas where ever the ruberized trim had a flat surface.

Hard plastic and hard plastic flat horizontal areas. If the hard plastic area was vertical it held up well. It shed the water. If the hard plastic was a horizontal. IE grils, windshield wiper rest trunkwater groove. The sealant started to fail, it became blotchy, and stopped shedding the water in the same way. We took a look at my 05 audi in the same areas, I had used poorboys trim restorer on it a week earlier. It did not have the blotchy look.

To be fore the trim sealant rdf looks better than trim restorer, but under 10 days of rain it started to fail, I did not take pictures (it was raining off and on)

I recently had some rain last night after applying the T and T. The water beading on the plastic is amazing. It still looks as fresh as the day I applied it.

Re: RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel

After being on my tires and trim for about 3 weeks, everything still looks good. The tires aren't as shiny, but are still a deep black, the trim still looks the same as the day I put it on. The rain today didn't seem to have much impact.

So far, it still looks good to me.

Similar for me.
We had over 2 inches of rain in a day (including driving through it). Again the car is outside 24/7. The trim amazingly still looks great very matte look almost as good as when I put it but still about 85-90%.
The tire fared less, as it now does not seem to have any sealant on it, but the tires are not brown at all (as expected considering I have washed the car and rain over the past 3 weeks).

Re: RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel

Hit the 8 week mark!

1. Tires are dead and need to be re-treated.

2. Trim is dulling and showing signs of needing treatment.

All-in-all I'm very happy with this product. Nothing else I have EVER tried lasts like this stuff on tires and trim.

I'm going to re-treat sometime this week and start my clock over again to see how well it performs after a second treatment.

This product gets my

I noticed that too, but I didn't want to post it right away without some more investigation. Application on my summer tires proved to be pretty durable. I just put the snow tires on my car and did them up with RDF tire sealant. A week later after driving 100 miles in rain, there was nothing left. I don't have much left but will try to do 2-3 applications on one tire and see if it holds up better.

Re: RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel update

just wanted to do an update on the tire and trim sealant. the weather has been nice as of late but we got hammered with rain in Oct and early Nov. this stuff has gotten a lot thrown at it in the time I have had it on the tires and trim. so far 39 days in.

2. How do your tires/trim look with RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel compared to you favorite product?

5+ weeks in and still happy with the looks and protection of the product. can not say that about any other product I have used before.

3. Color and richness of tires/trim after each wash. How much did the color/richness fade?

have washed my truck an average of once per week so 5 washes. we have also had a ton of rain so far. beading is great on the tires and the trim. did not see any change after my washes except for the tires a few days ago. the tires are beading a little less and have a little less color to them.

4. If car is exposed to the elements, how many weeks did Tire & Trim Sealant last (keep trim looking good)?

I am at 5+ weeks and feel another week and maybe two is very possible for the trim. would say at least a week for the tires. will be applying more in the next few days as we are suppose to get colder less mild weather moving in. the color has not changed much if at all on the trim the tires have faded a tad but not a whole heck of a lot. for the more mild months without rain this product is going last a heck of a long time

5. What would you like to see changed to make RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel better?

would not change a thing to the product for me. been a pleasure to be able to test this wonderful product. it has been everything I have been looking for my tires. after watching what it does on the trim I will be parting with all my tire and trim products for my own personal use. will be offering this in my detailing package for my customers as well. want to thank David for the time and money he has put into this product, it has met and beaten all expectations I had for it. thank you David for all your hard work. oh yea put me on the list for a bottle when it comes out , maybe two depending on the size of them.
