Join Date: Jul 2002 Location: Indianapolis Posts: 531 | It rained on Tuesday, so I got to check out how it handles the rain I noticed one good thing, and one bad thing.
The good: It still looks good after the rain, and I think it is not slippery and safe for my running boards
The bad: On the door handles I tried it on, it streaked and ran
The trim still looks good, nice and black, but not as shiny, which I like. I am hoping the streak and run is only for the first time, and after washing it again it won't do that after the first time. So far so good, I like it a lot if nothing else just for using on the running boards

6 weeks and still going strong on the new tires one comment I do have to make is that to my suprise this product is very appealing to the average person. I have had many people at work asking me what I use on my trim . we have had a lot of rain the last 2 weeks and a couple of them could not get over the beading they have told me they have to have some , when it is available. figured you would want to know that little tidbit. must be cool to watch the birth of a new product line.

The good: the trim is still very good. The look is very even and still looks like a new matte finish. The water still beeds alot!! I did not get any run on the trim sealant. It is as if I actually applied a new layer of the trim sealant.
The bad: the tire sealant had mostly washed of due to the two days of rain. The tires still looked slightly darker than usual but not much more. Then again not any tire dressing has done better imo. I did reapply the the dressing on the tires only, in 30 degrees with ease.

If you buff the trim off really well you should not experience the streaking/runoff.

At first I thought that maybe tire age had something to do with it (and maybe it does), but then I got to thinking about temperature, so I decided I'd go take a hot lap down the street and back. Sure enough, after an 8 mile drive that caused my tires to verbally complain, I pulled back into the garage and took tire temperature (tread and sidewall) front and rear. The front sidewall was 18 degrees warmer than the rear. Could this temperature be enough to "burn off" the T&T Sealant causing the visible differance in appearance? One thing is for sure... I am a month closer to needing new front tires!

Join Date: Aug 2005 Location: West Michigan Posts: 2,787 | Did my moms Dodge Caravan (white in color) Sunday night and it has a lot of trim to dress. Two days later after a light rain, still no streaking. I applied, waited 10 minutes and then buffed lightly with a terry towel. The tires unfortunately are a different story They are by no means expensive tires and I have never had luck with dressing them with anything I tried so it must just be the way the tires are!
My mom pulled into work and the boss came in and said, oh I didn't know you were here. And she replied what do you mean you didn't know I was here you seen my van. And he said "Yeah but yours has never looked so clean before! My favorite part so far about the Gel is that it lasts, and leaves my tires a nice dark black. I have now dressed the tires a total of 4 times, and after two days since my last dressing it seems to be holding the shine a little better. Can't wait till these products are released...great job David!

Josh,
I have another case that required three applications before the color and shine held. My neighbor, Chuck, has a Ford F150 he uses on the construction site. The tires really take a beating and they were bone-dry. After the first and second application the gel got sucked in. I guess the tire was thirsty. After the third application (week later) the color and a slight gloss held.
