This is great! Rain is hard to come by here in San Diego. I really appreciate this testing.

You should have no worries at all about this sealant. I really put my tires through abuse, with my quick take offs I always get sling from tire dressings. I have yet too see any sling, proving the true sealing property of this product. It's almost like it bonds to my tire - - I was expecting the look to fade at least somewhat, but fortunately it hasnt!

I think what has impressed me the most with these products is not that they look great when applied...but they hold that look even under less than pleasant conditions. When I ONR my car tonight and the tires, after drying off the car and tires it literally looked like I gave it a full detail and re-dressed the tires. I cannot wait until these products hit the market!

Biggest points so far go to the clarity and wetness of the sealant and durability/look of the tire sealant

--I'm looking forward to the leather products for RDF as well...any idea whether you will go for a leather scent or something more like Sonus had with a *clean* scent? Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to try out these products and put them to the test!

We are attempting to create the "first ever" leather and interior vinyl sealant. This proves to be difficult, because you don't want to seal the leather itself, only the vinyl coating. Once we have a product that works to my demanding standards, then we will figure out what to do about keeping the natural leather smell.

My goal is to be able to wipe ball point pen of of leather with our cleaner. If we can do that, then we have a leather sealant that's worthy of the brand.

Keep up the hard work. If this is going to be anywhere as good as the tire sealant, then you will have at least one loyal customer. The tire sealant may have been a little hard for me to apply(on tires0, but they look absolutely great after four days. All this was applied in temps of 40 degrees or so. We will be having rain ect soon, so DB you will get more info on its durability. So far .

RDF Tire Sealant (week one)

It's been one week and one car wash since I applied ONE COAT of RDF tire sealant on all four of my tires. It has not rained but I have been using the car just about every day.

During the wash the tires beaded water nicely. I went over them with a washmitt and carwash as I was cleaning the wheels.

After I dried the car, wheels, and tires I noticed that most of the sheen was gone that was present upon the intial application, but the tires were still very BLACK with a nice satin finish. Coverage is still pretty good and even. I would say, it was almost border line if I would apply another coat (because I like a slight sheen) but I didn't because I want to continue testing.

Here are some pics.....sorry so dark, it is very cloudy and overcast today.

I had a chance to use the RDF Trim and Tire Sealant today on the tires and trim of my F150 . I have to say that my trim has never looked this good. It blows away any trim dressing I have ever used in the past. I am excited to see how it holds up over time.

1. How easy/difficult is RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel to apply?

Very easy to apply. I used a standard foam app. The gel is alittle thick to apply to the tires so make sure that you have a very firm applicator.

2. How do your tires/trim look with RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel compared to you favorite product?

My tires were very dark even after one coat. My trim looks outstanding. It has never looked this good with any other trim dressing. I will wait and see if the dressing runs in the rain etc.

3. What would you like to see changed to make RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel better?

Nothing so far. My initial observations are that it is a great product. I have applied EO Tire Wet to the drivers side and RDF to the passenger. I will see how the two compare over time.

Put the Sealant on the trim, as I wanted to test a couple areas on my wife's Explorer. In the past I have left it alone because 1) products didn't last and/or 2) they were too slick for the areas I wanted to use it on... the running boards and door handles. The only product I had used that lasted was Poorboys TR... but was too slick. My wife said this was a tad slick, but nto as slick as PB's, so this has promise!

My thoughts to the questions:

1. How easy/difficult is RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel to apply?

Very easy, the trim it's self is a pain, but that is not the fault of the product. I may try this with a paint brush to apply on this type of trim.

2. How do your tires/trim look with RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel compared to you favorite product?

Looks good, dark and rich, a tad bit glossy for my tastes, but my guess is it will tone down a tad to more of a matte finish

3. Color and richness of tires/trim after each wash. How much did the color/richness fade?

Will update as time goes on

4. If car is exposed to the elements, how many weeks did Tire & Trim Sealant last (keep trim looking good)?

Will update as time goes on

5. What would you like to see changed to make RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel better?
Intially applying the product, I was worried, it felt very greasy and slick, but didn't seem as bad once applied to trim. I had a heck of a time holding the bottle and using the pump after a while I finally held on the the bottom, and used my other hand to pump out product. I used it on 4 door handles, two running boards, and a piece of trim on the back that is just like the running boards.

Just got done applying to a trim piece on our Minivan and the tires on my car.

1. How easy/difficult is RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel to apply?
I thought it was fairly easy to apply. It is a gel, not a spray, so if you want a spray, this isn't it. Spread easy, no issues.
2. How do your tires/trim look with RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel compared to you favorite product?
I thought the product looked as good as anything I've used on trim, with a single coat and buffing it after 15 minutes. Deep black, not too shiny. On the tires, with 2 coats, it looks real black and real shiny. Very glossy, maybe it will tone down tomorrow, but 2 coats is pretty glossy, but very rich, black.
3. Color and richness of tires/trim after each wash. How much did the color/richness fade?
Will update on this after rain and a wash tomorrow.
4. If car is exposed to the elements, how many weeks did Tire & Trim Sealant last (keep trim looking good)?
Will update.
5. What would you like to see changed to make RDF Tire & Trim Sealant Gel better?
At this point, too early to say, as nothing caused an issue on application. If it lasts, it'll be a great product.

Quick update after a wash:

The tires and small bit of black trim on the car look great, maybe better than after application.

The trim, after being buffed, looked perfect. Shiney, not greasy. After a wash, no real difference, mostly a rich, deep black.

After applying 2 coats to the tires, I left to dry. Now its about 40 F right now, so maybe that impacted, but after a night of drying, I thought they looked greasy, and still felt wet. I buffed them, which I thought made them look more like I like, rich and deep. After a wash, no real change, maybe a bit less glossy, but still a very rich deep black. Not flat black, but a more satin finish.

I will update as applicable.

I am noticing a difference in how the Tire & Trim Sealant works/looks on old and new tires. I recently put a new set of tires on the front of the Cayenne. After 6 weeks, the T&T Sealant is dead on the old tires (no browning at all, but there is little sheen left) but still going on the new tires. After 6 weeks, the trim still looks good. The sheen is down, but still very black with an even finish.
