Sounds intriguing thus far!
Buzzb,

I don't have any of those details just yet. I know that a spray is coming soon. I also know there is talk of a tire sealant (now that would be interesting!). I don't have any information on when the product will go to market.

One of the problems I'm hearing about is the need to buy dedicated bottling and mixing equipment. The product is so resistant to water and normal cleaning solutions that it is not possible to flush it out of the equipment.

Thanks David! I guess being resistant to water and cleaners is a good thing if you're a very durable sealant!
The questions keep coming but I'll wait until the reviewers give their assessment of the sealant.

Buzzb,

I got the following back from one of the staffers who works for the chemist:

"David, Thought I would give you an answer to this post. My car sits outside 24/7. It has had a dawn wash. It still beads like mad after 6 weeks with nothing done to it. I haven't even washed it and I still get compliments to this day on how good my car looks. "

I think the best information will come back in the next couple of weeks from the Phase I Testers.

Ummm...based on the information you have given us, they should be cleaning out their equipment with Prepsol or some similar solvent.

As soon as the Phase I Testers have given their feedback, the chemist will get to work on the formula to tweak based on the comments. After that we will get RDF50. I asked for 50 to 100 samples of RDF50. I will make sure that 10% goes to Canada, 10% goes to the UK and 10% goes to ROW. Unfortunately, my shipping budget on this project is limited, or I would ship 50% outside of the USA.

Yes, the Phase I Testers will also be included in Phase II Testing.

Phase I Test Kit

The Phase I Testers have been sent the following kit:

1. 4 oz. Bottle of RDF49 with pump despenser.

2. Handi-Grip Foam Applicator

3. Sonus SFX-3 Final Finish & Wax Pad

4. Sonus Der Wunder Buffing Towels

RDF49 favors foam applicators and really likes the tight foam cell structure of the SFX-3 Final Finish Pad. For hand work, the Handi-Grip worked best because RDF49 is very thick. The handle on the Handi-Grip makes it easier to apply thin.

While the product buffed out easily with all of the towels I tried, it favors the thick, fluffy nap on the Der Wunder Buffing Towel.

Testers will be asked to keep these application tools away from other products. The applicator and pad will need to be stored in a baggie, as it is impossible to wash the product out.

Yes, and they turn out soft and fluffy. No problems there.

Have you tried any APC's on the applicators/pads?
