Question UPGP Streaking?

I've noticed after 2 coats that my car does look very glossy, but there seems to be A LOT of streaking. I'm assuming I put too much paint guard on my car. This was my first time doing anything like this, and the color of my car (sunset perl, a metalic orange/red) made it very hard to see how much was going on (no matter how little I seemed to use, it always seemed to go on wet).

I am assuming the streaks are the top because i can rub it with my buffing towel and it loses its shine but the streaks go away, would applying another coat as thin as possible smooth it out?

Dan

Apply as thin as possible and dont touch it for 12 hrs. You can QD after that and add another layer if you wish. Dont worry about the streaks it will buff right off after cure time.

Re: UPGP Streaking?

Yes guessed right, if you applied too much it will streak, but it buffs right off with no problem. Leave it alone, and after the last layer has cured (I recommend 3 and no more), then you can buff it right off. Your car will look amazing. Add some Danase Wet Glaze and it will blow you away.

Re: UPGP Streaking?

Will one layers streaks show through the second layers?
I didn't buff between coat 1 and coat 2, and it did end up looking better, it still has streaks though.

I quickly dusted off some sheetrock dust that fell on my car from the garage ceiling today on a part of the car that had been PGP'd about 30 hours prior, and just gently rubbing it off with no pressure at all from the MF towel, the PGP finish went dull. Is that normal after it cures or does that mean it didn't cure as of yet?

If you dry dust (very lightly) use a QD after to prevent marring and dulling.
