UPGP and Meg's #80

It's OK to use UPGP after Meguiar's #80 (or #83) or I have to use UPP before UPGP?
Also if I top UPGP with Collinite 845 I'll get better protection (for bird bombs) or four layers of UPGP it's enough? My first concern is protection not looks.
Thanks.

Re: UPGP and Meg's #80

You want to clean the surface after using either Meg's 80 or 83 because of the oils they leave behind. Personally, if I was using 80 or 83 before application of UPGP I would do an IPA wipe or a quick wash. UPP "leaves behind a special primer designed to promote proper bonding of Ultima Paint Guard Plus......" I haven't experimented with UPGP on just a clean surface vs one prepped with UPP, but for max durability I'd prep with UPP first.

I'd see how a few layers of UPGP holds up for you..... my findings are it releases dirt very well. Later you can add another layer of UPGP after a wash or toss on some 845. Either way I'd try to use a good QD to maintain slickness so things like bird sh$t are easier to remove.

I agree. That was the problem with the recent comparison test purporting to pit Ultima against Zaino.

Re: UPGP and Meg's #80

OK, thanks. I'll do an IPA wipedown and UPP afterwards.
