Join Date: Mar 2008 Posts: 2 | Streaks after appling PGP? Yesterday was my first try with the Ultima product line. I washed & dryed my 2 week old 2008 X5. I used the elastrofoam product, then with my porter I applied and removed the PPP. The X5 looked great! I then wiped on the PGP and let it dry in the sun for a few hours before moving into the garage. This morning I noticed streak marks in several locations. I am planing on appling another coat of PGP tonight. Should I try and buff out these streaks? If so, what should I use the detail spray plus? Or, should I just use my duster and re apply the PGP? Help!

I mf'd with UQD on one spot after 12 hours. I did not uss PPP first. I wanted to put another coat today, but the yellow/green pollen is relentless! Quote: |

Buffing with a good MF will get rid of any streaking and will bring out that final shine. Usually if there is any streaking from UPGP is from applying it too heavy, but in any case, it buffs out very easily without having to use a QD. However, I always do a final wipe down with FK425, but for the streaks, but because it works great to bring out more gloss and make the flakes pop even more.

So, I can wipe this down with a MF & then reapply (not as much as the first time!) another coat of PGP? It has been close to 24 hrs since my first application of PGP.

Sounds like you applied a bit too much, it takes a few applications of WOWA sealants to get the hang of it.
After 12 hours of the last coat, give it another wipedown with the Ultima QD.

After 12 hours of the last coat, give it another wipedown with the Ultima QD. | Can you apply another coat of UPGP right after using the Ultima QD? I thought the QD needed time to cure as well.
