Update for Ultima Paint Guard Plus Applicator Use and Care

Just a note about the Ultima Autospa Microfiber Applicator use and care.

Should you experience streaking it could be caused by the following applicator issues:
  • Applicator loaded with product after 3-4 uses on each side and needs to be washed.
  • Applicator is still damp after washing and needs to thoroughly dry.
  • Water drips on car get onto applicator. Ultima Paint Guard Plus and water don’t mix, dry your car thoroughly.
  • Applicator is visibly dirty and needs to be washed.

Applicator Care: The large microfiber applicator provided insures an even, streak-free coating. If your vehicle is clean, your Ultima Microfiber Applicator will not get dirty from use and it will dry soft and odor-free. Store it in a Ziploc baggie or a clean, dry location. If your applicator becomes soiled, you may wash it as you would other microfiber products.

We recommend washing your microfiber applicators and towels in cool to warm water (never hot) with the Sonus Der Wunder Wasche or a quality liquid laundry detergent. For applicators, it is recommended that you place them in a mesh garment bag for delicates when washing. (Hey guys, please don’t steal them from your girl, buy your own!) For heavily soiled microfibers may also want to use the extra rinse cycle on to make sure the microfibers are rinsed thoroughly. Dry in a cool to warm dryer, never hot. IMPORTANT! Never wash microfibers with other articles as the fibers will load up the microfiber ruin their effectiveness. Also, never use fabric softener, dryer sheets or bleach.

If you want an extra or need to replace your Ultima Autospa Microfiber Applicator they are now orderable online.

Although we recommend the Ultima Microfiber Applicator, should you prefer a smaller size you might want to check out the Blue Perl Microfiber Applicators.

Hope this helps you with your Ultima experience!

Re: Update for Ultima Paint Guard Plus Applicator Use and Care

I actually just washed mine. It seems to have lost it's shape a little. I washed it in warm water with liquid tide and dried on low. It still has a brownish color where the PGP was.

I like this pad.
