UDM cord extension

I have just received my UDM in the UK which I intend to plug into a 240 to 110v step down transformer with US plug outlets that I have however the lead on the UDM is quite short so I would like to purchase a 120v - 50 ft extension lead with US connections which will allow me more freedom to reach the whole car.
Can anyone recommend a suitable good quality extension lead which could be purchased over the internet. I have a friend who lives in the US who could purchase it for me but who knows nothing about anything electrical so I could send her the web page to keep things simple from which she can order one and then send it on to me in the UK.

Thanks
Peter

Re: UDM cord extension

Peter,

Your friend simply needs to visit a Home Depot hardware store and ask for a grounded 50' extension cord. In that length, that's all they will have anyway. Your color choices will be orange or dark green.

Re: UDM cord extension

Thanks for all the advise guys, problem now sorted.
