I just need to know, how do I remove the old switch? Do I just pop it off with a screwdriver? I'm afraid to ruin the UDM by doing it wrong!

I got the serial number from under the counterweight cover (it was the same as the number on the outside of the box). I used Outlook Express rather than my normal Firefox, but like many others I get the "invalid serial number" message.
I want to get the new switch, but I'm figuring I can't till it's registered.
Dave or Lynn can you advise?

Then while using a small eyeglass screwdriver you have to support the hole upwards while you snap the new switch in. You will understand what I mean if you just try popping the new switch in, the hole flexes and it wont snap in. Hope that makes sense.

I actually decided to stick with the original switch for now, to see if I have any problems with it, and I wonder why so many people have said that they've accidentally turned it on or off. I can't see that happening with me, I haven't even come close to doing this once. I've used my UDM for a total of about 4 or 5 hours so far and have not had any problems.
This unit is awesome! I like it a lot better than the PC 7424 I tried out a few weeks ago at a friend's house. The PC would bog down with too much pressure on it, but the UDM barely slows down at all when you do this.

Yes, if you careful on how you handle it (watch that thumb) and set it carefully down on its side it is not a big problem but once is enough when polish flies everywhere. I like the location and switch is a nice size but it just needs to side ribs on housing to protect it when off as well as on.

So does everyone who is registered have to order it as if it were a part or have new switches been shipped to those registered and those who have not recieved them are the ones who need to go to your link above?
