Re: UDM Switch Update Bulletin

I guess I should have asked the question this way. Am I a "registered" UDM user/owner?

Sold to an end user... Yes. Imported for resale... No!

Every country is different regarding regarding electrical and mechanical safety requirements. However, in general all states in the EU follow the same basic requirements regarding safety standards on electrical products for import and resale. The CE and GS marks are the most recognized safety marks in Europe, just as the CSA and UL marks are recognized here in North America.

That said, there are no regulations or restrictions for an individual purchasing a product from a foriegn country for personal use. That's why so many Porter Cable polishers are being sold into the UK, EU and down under in AU. The Porter Cable polisher has only the UL mark, which is only recognized in America.

Any update on the switch shipments? Will a printed manual be included with the shipment?
