Re: UDM Switch Update Bulletin

Thank you David for addressing this problem. My upmost regards to you and the UDM staff. As I have stated all along the UDM is the Ultimate Detailing Machine. I have had to send mine back in for motor problems but I know this will be corrected and I will be UDM'ing soon. THANKS!!!

Re: UDM Switch Update Bulletin

I received word back this morning the the mold is in process and will be complete this week. Once I approve the sample, manufacturing can begin. So, it looks like this will be pulled in on-time of better from what I expected.

Re: UDM Switch Update Bulletin

Hello, I am interested in getting this update as well. I just checked my UDM and can't seem to find a serial number on it for the online registration form. I don't have the original packaging for the machine any longer...

Re: UDM Switch Update Bulletin

The serial number is under the backing plate inside the counterweight housing.

Re: UDM Switch Update Bulletin

Good news! If I had a penny for every "Do your UDM's have the updated switch" email....

I have many customers waiting for news on this switch update before they purchase. I too would like to just replace them all myself or just throw the update in the box.

Chris,

I'll post a note when they come in. You can email Lynn and she will send you a handful.

Re: UDM Switch Update Bulletin

I just bought the UDM and would like to keep myself updated on when the updates will be available. I'll probably just wait until winter to send it in when I'll have more down time.

BTW, my UDM arrived a few days ago, but I haven't opened it up yet. After which date were the switches updated?

Thanks!

Re: UDM Switch Update Bulletin

Since I now own a UDM I did have a chance to see the switch.

The switch itself seems fine but it just works "backward". That is, the switch is exposed outside the ribs when OFF so it can be disturbed. It is more protected in the ON position. It guess it is a bigger engineering change to have it work so it cuts on when slide out rather than slide in between the ribs or extend the ribs (change to casting).
