I started my Winter Prep yesterday and while using the Swirlbuster pad I went to remove the pad from the backing plate and the white backing seperated from the pad (stuck to the plate).
Has ne1 had this happen with these pads and is there a way to fix it?
TIA

Morbid | First, e-mail or call Autopia Car Care and let them know what happened; I'm sure you'll have a replacement headed your way shortly.
As for repairing the pad you have, TOL carries a foam and fabric adhesive: http://www.topoftheline.com/foamfabad.html . . . you can probably find a similar product locally by checking paint and body shop supply stores, or I'd guess upholstery shops might carry it, too (or tell you where you can find it).
I've noticed that "stiff" pads (cutting pads, some orange pads, SB) tend to build up a good amount of heat on the backing plate. The stiffer foam transfers more energy from the machine to the plate, but also seems to stress the velcro from the added friction. When I polish with a PC, I try to have two or three pads on hand, and check them occasionally to see if they're warming up. If so, I switch to a new pad and give the old one a chance to cool off.

If you mean pay for the foam adhesive, you don't . . . contact ACC and let them know what happened; I'm sure they'll take care of you with a replacement pad.

Every order that comes from us has a letter with proper contact information. My PM box IS NOT support for orders. I have dedicated support staff who are very responsive.

I'll try contacting support when I get off of work and can look up the order number. If nothing works that way I'll look into TOL's solution.
I have close to 2 shelves in a closet for just pads (various sizses and manufactuers) and have never had one do this before, let alone after 2 or 3 times using it, so I was at a lost on how to address the issue.
Thanks fellas

MorBiD | Actually, you didn't get a response b/c I have been sick in bed with a fever for 3 days. I asked Lynn to assist in replacing your pads.

Michael,
No, we will get it replaced for you. By the way, how did you wash the pad?
