hey david got a ? about swirlbuster

how long should you wait between coats,do the acrylics need time to bond.or can i just go ahead and do the extra 2 coats at the same time.btw i do have the swirlbuster pad and polish.the car really had bad swirls, scratches and cobwebbing.i used pinnacle xmt#2 and xmt#3 and still couldnt get everything removed so i used the sb and it made a huge difference.thanks for a great product!!!!!!!

this is how it came out after one coat of sb,i can still see small swirls.do you think it will come out better after three coats.btw there was no wax put on when these pic,s were taken.

Sonus Swirlbuster Polish contains the same acrylic base used in Klasse. It requires the exact same cure time as Klasse AIO and SG... about 12-24 hours, depending on climate conditions.

As with other polishes, the more you polish the better the finish will become, to a point. I recommend that you use Klasse AIO as a final-finish polish to get your car to the next level, then top with Klasse SG and maintain the shine with Sonus Acrylic Glanz.

BTW, your car looks incredible. The color is very vibrant!

Hey SteveO,

Yes, any polish or paint cleaner will remove the fillers. They will stand up to water based products, but not to heavy solvents or abrasives.

I have not finished the guide for the SwirlBuster kit yet, which is what I think you're looking for on the instructions side. Basic tips for using the SwirlBuster Pad/Polish combo are:

- Keep the pad damp (spritz it before starting)
- Apply a generous amount of polish. You want the polish to do the work, not the pad.
- Apply firm pressure to the pad on the car and start the polisher.
- Work the speed up to 5.5 on the dial and keep the pad compressed to 70%
- As the polish works out, you can let up on the pressure.
- When the polish is nearly clear, stop the polisher and buff off the finish.
- Repeat if necessary.
- Lightly spritz pad again before loading up with more polish.

Re: hey david got a ? about swirlbuster

thanks for the reply david

so if the aio would remove the fillers , why do you suggest in your first reply that the user should use aio as a finishing polish?

how long should i wait after the first application of swirlbuster before i apply another? and then how long before i top ?(thinking of using klasse sg)

thanks
again

If you want to bring your paint to a higher level of polish than SwirlBuster can achieve, that next level is Klasse AIO. By the time you get to this level, you don't need the fillers anymore, because your swirls and imperfections are gone.

It is not necessary to wait between uses of SwirlBuster. It will not layer. All you ever get in terms of filling is achieved from a single applications. What you get from multiple uses (same day or different days) is more imperfections removed.
