Clear Bra and Klasse

I bought a new car and I am awaiting warmer weather so I can put on my 3M film ,full kit, clear bra .Which will cover the painted bumper, grill and portions of the hood and wheel wells
What I am wondering is, should I apply my Klasse cleaner/polish and the sealant prior to the bra installation or continue to wait until its installed? I know that proper film installation requires a wax remover be used prior to installation to ensure adhesion.
I want the best protection for my paint and would like it all sealed asap.

Re: Clear Bra and Klasse

I had 3M installed on my car ....the installer will clean the area with water and alcohol to clean the area of any wax or sealant. It would be a good to clay the area and use an AIO to clean the paint before....................

Re: Clear Bra and Klasse

Claying and polishing out the paint is a good idea prior to the install for better adhesion. I would actually recommend the Ultima Paint Prep Plus as it makes for an easier install with fewer air bubbles because it makes the surface so slick. After you are finished, protect the clear bra and the rest of the car with Ultima Paint Guard Plus.

Re: Clear Bra and Klasse

I agree with: clay, polish, seal approach. Have a 3m bra and love it. You can polish it, seal it, wax it w/o problems.

Re: Clear Bra and Klasse

the installer who did my C6 (about the least expensive car that he does) took my 2 mile car and cleaned it. he then applied spray wax on the surfaces BEFORE starting the film (when i asked he said that it would come off easier at a later date if needed by doing this). then proceded to apply the film. take note that this is also a training facility. of course the alcohol/water solution will strip the wax or at least some of it. that's been my experience. i took my avalanche and my CTS to the installer with 845 applied the night before. just correct and prep the paint like you were detailing the car and then apply the film. you should be good.
