Process question

Okay... I'm eagerly awaiting my products from Autopia to arrive on wednesday - UDM, DAS pads, SFX 2 and SFX 3 (I also ordered some IP). Here's my question - my first shot with the UDM will be a MBP MDX with very slight swirls. The car has never been to a car wash (the wife begged and pleaded but I've said no ) and always been topped with Z2 and/or Z5.

My process will be this -

- Wash with Z7
- Clay
- SFX 2 or IP
- SFX 3
- Z5 with zfx
- Z2 with zfx
- Z6 b/t coats

I think i'm sorted. Does this sound good?

Re: Process question

Start with a polishing pad and see if it removes the swirls. If not step up to a more agressive pad. Remember to do a ISO wipedown prior to applying the Z just to make sure you have an oil free surface for maximum bonding.

Re: Process question

Thanks. I'm assume when you do a wipedown with isopropyl alcohol, you just dampen a MF towel (would a coth diaper work as well?) and go over over the car? It would be first time ive done the isopropyl wipedown.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Process question

Most mix isopropyl alcohol with some water and put it in a spray bottle. Spray it on the panel and remove with a MF. Let it dry before applying your sealant.
