Denzil's Review: Einszett Detail-Spray vs. Others

So I was fortunate enough to score the opportunity to do a review on the Einszett 1Z Detail-Spray Lackfinish courtesy of a free giveaway from Matt at Autogeek. Not only did it include the detail spray but also one of Autogeek's Supreme 530 Microfiber Towels which if I may add are truly awesome!

Back on topic, below you'll find information about the Einszett Lackfinish in the same traditional format that I did with my previous review of the Grit Guard Universal Pad Washer. I’ll also briefly comment about the other quick detailers that were used in comparison to Lackfinish.

Product name:
Einszett 1Z Detail-Spray Lackfinish

Mfg’s Description:
From their website:
Quickly and easily provides that 'just-waxed' finish between waxing using. Protects all surfaces from contamination using German polymer technology ("Polymolekulare Funktionale") which provides both wax-like protection that lasts for weeks as well producing exceptional depth and gloss. Simply spray on and wipe off with a microfiber cloth or soft, plush cotton towel for a showroom finish. Paintwork Finish offers exceptional protection when used in conjunction with Glanz Wax.

From the bottle:
Detail-Spray gently cleans and protects the paintwork between regular washings with a dust-repellant, gloss-enhancing wax-like finish. Effortlessly dissolves and removes fresh environmental contaminants such as dust, soot, fingerprints, bird droppings, tree sap and water spots leaving a long-lasting, tangible gloss finish. Great for use on all paintwork finishes including clear coat. Also for use on exterior chrome, metal, and plastic surfaces.

From Autogeek’s website:

Mfg’s Directions for Use:
Shake well before use. Turn spray seal to open. Apply on cool paintwork out of direct sunlight. Do not use on paintwork surfaces that are heavily soiled. Spray product on paintwork surface and wipe with a clean 100% cotton towel to reveal a protective deep gloss finish. For best results and to reduce smearing, apply with a quality microfiber towel. After use, turn spray seal to close.

Price & from where:

Ease of use:
Pretty simple. Either spray onto the surface and wipe or spray onto your plush microfiber and wipe into the paint.

Compared to:
Specifications:
Contains: 5-15% Alcohol, <1% diquatermäre Pflegekomponenten, <1% ampohtere Tenside, <1% Glycol, colorants and perfumes, Methylisothiazolinone, Benzylisothiazolinone.

Process & Equipment/Misc. Used:
Pro’s:
I don’t know what it is but it brings out a lot of depth to the paint, more so than its competition. It cleaned up the sap and the overall paint surface really well and looked the best out of all the quick detailers I have ever tested.

Con’s:
At $11.99 for 16.9 oz (can be had cheaper), it’s a pretty pricey quick detailer. In fact, it’s the one of the most expensive compared to its competitors. It smells a tad “chemically” in that you shouldn’t be inhaling this stuff but it’s definitely not overwhelming. Let’s just say it’s a smell you’ll get used to no problem.

Conclusion:
Overall it’s a great product! I mean, if I had the money I would buy a few more of these bottles but considering its current competition, I’d much rather be spending my money on the likes of OID and maybe Meg’s UQD (when it’s on sale at Kragen’s or Autozone).

Would Recommend:
I definitely would recommend this product to those that can really throw their money around and want amazing depth in their paint. It would be difficult to tell all on its own, IMO, but I definitely could tell the difference when it was compared to its competition.

Background Information:
There are a few things to consider before judging these quick detailer sprays. Firstly, I just washed my car this past Friday and applied OCW to my paint’s surface. Also, my paint was thoroughly cleaned with TECnique before OCW was applied.

Since Friday, my car accumulated quite a bit of tree sap from when I parked under a tree at my friend’s apartment on Saturday and Tuesday. There was a very small layer of dust but was just the right amount to not require a proper wash. All things considered, pretty much the perfect opportunity to test these quick details sprays out.

My car was parked on a slight incline on my driveway and the sun was hitting pretty hard on my black Integra. So with the help of my younger brother, we quickly set up the E-ZUP Sprint shelter to provide a large enough shade to cool off the hood of my car.

Well without further a due, here are the pictures. Enjoy! Also, please don’t mind the imperfections in my hood. It’s by no means anywhere near perfect, LoL.

Products and Their Appropriate Box Designations
I know, I know… having bottles on the hood of my paint is a big no-no but the hood’s going to be polished very soon anyways.

About half way through my wipe downs with the quick detailers, I remembered that I totally forgot about UQD. So here are some pictures including UQD.

Re: Denzil's Review: Einszett Detail-Spray vs. Others

Water Beading/Sheeting Pictures
It was really weird but I got some mixed results. I can’t quite put my finger on it but I’ll just let the pictures do the talking because I can’t really explain it. I will note that after spraying down my hood several times, it seems like the hard water was affecting the stuff left behind by the quick detailers and in result would cause the water to not sheet or bead as if there was no protection left. I got tired of taking pictures at that point, LoL.

Comments:
I’d have to say that Lackfinish definitely wins in the look department with OID and UQD in a tie for a close second. However, due to Lackfinish’s rather high cost, I would easily leave it for the likes of OID and maybe UQD. I hope this review helped you all in deciding which quick detailer to invest in. Of course, you won’t really know for sure unless you try them all, hehe.

I agree one of the best format for reviews I have seen in a long time. Really like the comparisons too!
