I detailed a couple of cars in Perth WA just before Christmas, not much in the way of good OTC products (Kitten!!!??) I would say learn from Autopia buy products from the U.S via suppliers recommended here (Autopia again) and become THE pro for WA,just MHO.

Hey all,
I'm from Wisconsin, USA, but I'm going to be a foreign exchange student to Australia through Rotary International! I can't wait!

Hiyas
Im from Perth too, been speaking to Damian from F.I for a good detailer in Perth, WA, and my conclusion is to do it myself! Do your research and buy your products accordingly. Im yet to purchase a RO, but my polylack twins, P21s and assorted MF's just arrived today!

I'm in Melbourne at the moment, but by November I'll be living in Perth (much to my wife's displeasure - her family is in Melbourne)
I have a friend in Perth who details for a living. He says he gets too much work to handle. I haven't seen his work, but uses a rotary and Autoglym polishes...seems to know his stuff. He charges too little for my taste - rotaries work fast. I mainly use a PC. His business is called HiShine.

SenojNW,
You will be happy to know there is a new place to purchase your detailing supplies in Perth.
Detailers Obsession is a new business that stocks:
Zaino, Poly-Lack, P21S, Edge, Optimum, Aquatouch Microfibre, Bowdens Own, QEW and more...
Give me a PM and I'll send you his details.
P.S They are having a detailing course on 22nd April.

Hey Hemi57! The only information I know right now is that I'm going to Australia, tentative departure date July 18/19 2006 and departure July 18/19 2007. Rotary Club International hasn't given me a city or even region yet, and hopefully I'll find out soon! I've been reading a little bit on Australia but I have a feeling that all of my preconceived notions (or lack thereof) of Australia are wrong
If previous exchange students are any indication...they've, in general, gone to the Melbourne/Adelaide area. I believe very few go to the Sydney metro area, at least with my organization. Only about 7 students from the United States go to Australia through Rotary each year, which is dramatically low compared to other countries, in part because in the past decades U.S. to Australia students didn't want to come home and apparently were a problem for Australia (dole-wise? I don't really know).
