If previous exchange students are any indication...they've, in general, gone to the Melbourne/Adelaide area. I believe very few go to the Sydney metro area, at least with my organization. Only about 7 students from the United States go to Australia through Rotary each year, which is dramatically low compared to other countries, in part because in the past decades U.S. to Australia students didn't want to come home and apparently were a problem for Australia (dole-wise? I don't really know). |
pigeonbus, apologies for the delay in getting back. No matter which Aussie city you come to you should have a ball. Each is different and anyone who says they favour one over another or one is better than the other is their opinion only.

on the US students not wanting to go home. Yep Australia does seem to do that to people from the North Hemisphere
