Prinz, dude you are not out of the oven yet, if you know what I mean. Stay on top of this, get 2nd opinions, and question/challenge every dam thing they tell you! Ask for proof/reasoning for everything.
Keep in mind that research is everything, do it on your own!!
My reasoning: If I had left everything up to doctors, I would be dead now by about 5 years.

Blood pressure is a serious issue.
On thanksgiving my mother had one of several strokes. Her blood pressure was 280/190. Very serious stuff. It had been high for at least 20 years without her wanting to go to the doctor--she's terrified of the doctor. It's getting back under control though.
My blood pressure is also quite high. I'm 25 and it runs anywhere from 140-185ish for the top # and the lower from 85-100. I had a wakeup call yesterday myself and will be goign to see a dr.

Latest update:
Last time I checked my BP, it was 125/77. I am still on top of things like my sodium intake and cholesterol intake.
The goal here is to remain healthy and not have to go through the same things again.
