Any bodybuilders here?

When I'm not wrenching on a car or hanging out with my friends, I like to pump iron as a stress reliever and stay in shape.

Re: Any bodybuilders here?

I've competed and I stay pretty fit. I like the iron...and the mirrors, hehe.

Re: Any bodybuilders here?

I lift weights no where close to a BB. But I am 6'1 175 and I am benching 160 for 5 sometimes 6 lifts. Thats where I am right now. I love the feeling of being pumped up and if I go w/o lifting or working out my body I feel weird.

Re: Any bodybuilders here?

Bodybuilder/weightlifter, 53 years old and been doing it for 30 years with no major breaks from it. Not a competitor, but sure keeps me young. Still love the pump.

Re: Any bodybuilders here?

I enjoy working out. I usually work out 5-6 days a week I'm far from a bodybuilder, but I've seen some gains in muscle which really motivates me to keep eating clean and lifting. Typically I'll get my cardio out of the way early in the morning and lift after work. I'm really hoping all the effort I put in will keep me feeling great as I age.

Re: Any bodybuilders here?

I'm not really a bodybuilder IMO, but I lift ~6 days a week and do hard cardio on a regular basis, been doing this for decades (I'm now 48). As BAKER said, it sure keeps you young.

I keep my bodyfat in the single-digits and it's pretty obvious that I take my lifting seriously, but I just don't think of myself as a bodybuilder for some reason.

There are a few threads (e.g., the LOOOONG one "Let's all diet and get in shape") where we've been discussing exercise and nutrition for years; there are a fair number of people here who take this stuff seriously.

When I log off here, I'll be doing legs/abs/grip this afternoon

Re: Any bodybuilders here?

sweet! I'm hoping one day I can make myself look like Batista from WWE. Just keep at it.

My routine usually consists of jogging at the local reservior(2 1/2 miles) every other day. Total gym everyday and 10-15 reps of 100lbs, whichever I feel like.

I used to smoke for 6 years but quit cold turkey 2 years ago and havn't had one since. Pumping iron and rigs don't mix. Been about 1 year since I've eaten any take out food. Since putting the smokes and take out food down and working out, it's amazing how much better one can feel.

Re: Any bodybuilders here?

I like to train in the gym 4-6 days a week. I have thought about entering a competition but I don't feel that I am ready yet. I am 6'0" 215lbs at 13 percent body fat. I am trying to get to the 250 lbs mark and then cut down to about 220 lbs. My wife competes in figure competitions and that is why I have given competing some thought.

Batista is a freak. Genetics play a role in how big you can get too. To look like Batista, it's a lot more than just moving weight.... I'm pretty sure he's clean too, but you never know...
