Relaxation and Stress Relief
What does everyone do for those days when you just sit back and need time to relax and just realize where you are in your life. I know I am 20yrs old, but I have a very busy/stressful life...
I recently started to realize I need to relax at bedtime. I now start listening to songs that are are like Enya. I also listen to thunder storm music, incan pan pipe music, etc.
What are other ways you guys relieve stress other than working out?
This music stuff actually helps A LOT for me.

Re: Relaxation and Stress Relief
For me nothing helps release stress like a ride on the motorcycle. Being in the Foothills of SC there are a lot of very nice twisty roads with some great scenery.
Unfortunately the old bones can't handle the ergonomics of the typical sport bike anymore. I have started squirreling away funds for the purchase of a Sport Tourer to keep me sane

Re: Relaxation and Stress Relief
I have a hypnosis CD for stress relief that I listen to every now and then. Sometimes it works and sometimes my mind is just too busy to follow along the person on the CD. I've been thinking about getting some nice calm instrumental music to listen to. Don't know exactly what I'm looking for though.

Re: Relaxation and Stress Relief
My stress relief during the warmer months and including some evenings that aren't too terribly cold involve a walk with my gf or by myself. The nights when the sky is clear I get my head cleared just by wandering around where I live, middle of no where, or by the lake and the peace and quiet does me a lot of good. I also listen to a lot of Jack Johnson or John Waits

Re: Relaxation and Stress Relief
taking walks around the neighborhood or going to the gym and sitting in the jacuzzi (it's around 107 degrees *hot*) helps me relax...

i know LOL. that's the temperature that it's usually always at (i look at the temperature gauge next to it unless i'm reading it wrong), give or take a few degrees (i heard it can't exceed pass 110 degrees according to one of the regulars). it's frickin' hot when you get in (if it's a little too hot at the time, i'll jump in the pool) but after you lay back and have the jets hitting your back and legs, it's like your in cloud nine...

Re: Relaxation and Stress Relief
I do relaxed breathing plus either gaba pills or magnesium before bed if I am really tense. Elevating my legs on a wall for a couple minutes a day helps as well!!!!
