Re: Vitamin Poll
No vitamins for me. Food is the solution.
I have a full time nutritionist / Acupuncturist. If they don't know, I'm lost....

Re: Vitamin Poll
is it me? or do you find that people who are fanatics about their cars are generally fanatical about all thier material things, house golf clubs, their health, etc., i find this to be true alot, not necessarily a bad thing, that's not how i meant it, just an observation.

Re: Vitamin Poll
I take the afore mentioned GNC product twice daily. Have for years. Makes a very defined difference in my overall health.

Re: Vitamin Poll
tdekany you must have quite a bit of info you are not sharing, being in the industry for 22 years.
I know all vitamin pills are not created equal, i also know that there is a lot of marketing ploys, that are made in the name of sales and not health.
BTW i take greens powder or caps, omega 3-6-9 and a multi. Occasionally I'll take others, like Milk Thistle, Saw Palmetto Qc-10, cranberry etc.
Also at the first sings of a cold or flu, I OD on echinacea, vit C and zinc. Then lower dose for the next few days. Works 9 times out of 10.

Re: Vitamin Poll
I voted for occasional use. The theory of vitamin use makes sense, provide your body with all the vitamins it needs to function optimally. I will take vitamins when I get sick, i know that some claim to prevent sickness, but I've found I actually feel worse after taking some. When I was young I regularly took those Flinstones Iron supplements on doctors advice, but have not taken them since childhood. I will mainly use Vitamin C. Sometimes if I really feel I've neglected my diet, I will drink a can of ensure or Boost. I tried a daily Vitamin routine for a while, but I decided to stop because even after a month+ I just didn't feel any difference. I'm not saying they're a rip-off, I know they're not drugs and you are getting what you pay for. I think the cost is reasonable. Maybe I have a unique bio-chemistry or something, but I just didn't feel any different taking them or not. Also, I gave up on energy drinks, they are expensive$$$$, and can really make you feel bad. Only a few energy drinks actually made me alert, others did nothing. One night I was drinking them like regular cola, after the fourth can I was sweating with a fast pulse. No more energy drinks for me. I will continue to occasionally take vitamin C and the odd can of ensure or a power bar if I neglect my diet.
