Re: Vitamin Poll
I use Max International N'Fuze. Its a nano-nutrient delivery system which bypasses the digestive systems. Very effective.

Re: Vitamin Poll
Catalyn from Standard Process. It is a whole-food based vitamin which is plant based. Your body gets the benefit if breaking down what it needs from the whole vitamin in natural form instead of a chemical clone.

Re: Vitamin Poll
I take vitamin c by natures way with bioflavonoids(500 mg vitamin c, 300 mg bioflavonoids), beef liver tablets(6-12 a day, more if im training harder), cod liver oil, and thats it. I get all my vitamins just by taking those supplements along with food!!!!
Those of you who take gncs multivitamins, be assured your getting great quality. I have worked for the company 4.5 yeras now and they make some great supplements!!!

I don't take them because I either keep forgetting or just get lazy. Every now and then, I would take Vitamin C in order to ward off colds/etc. I also take Airborne because I spend a LOT of time in planes and airports.
However, a visit to a thyroid specialist told me that I was deficient in Vitamin D. Now, one would think that my weight would have something to do with it but it is actually because of my complexion.
Therefore, she prescribed 1.25 g of Vitamin D as a supplement.

Re: Vitamin Poll
I do not unless I am feeling ill, I might take a multivitamin.
I eat a balanced diet and never feel "unbalanced" or anything. Knowing how much just goes out of the body I feel environmentally responsible for all the unnatural vitamins in the waste. Further, since I hike and camp a lot, its even worse if I go while out on the trail.

Re: Vitamin Poll
I get my vitamins from Puritan's Pride, and take a multi-vitamin called Ultra-Man (supposedly equivalent to GNC's Mega-man), a C-Q10 and a Omega3 fish oil pill.

Re: Vitamin Poll
I take a One-A-Day Multi, Men Haalth Formula.
While I eat a well-rounded diet, I also know that men over 50 may need more of some vitamins.
Vitamin D is needed to enable the body to absorb calcium. This may prevent osteoarthritis in your later years. I look for at least 400 IU of vitamin D.
Vitamin K may also play a role in reducing bone loss and fractures as you get older. I look for 25 micrograms of vitamin K.
Calcium is beneficial for bones and teeth. Most seniors don't get enough calcium. I look for 200 mg of calcium.
Vitamin B-12 for healthy nerves and blood cells. One in five older adults is thought to be deficient in B-12. Sortage of B12 is a proven cause of anemia and problems with the nervous system. Some studies indicate it may also contribute to dementia. I look for 15 mcg of B-12.
Folic acid. I look for 400 mcg. of Folic acid.
Men may also have prostrate issues as they age and this product contains Lycopene, Selenium, Vitamin E and Zinc which are proven to help keep any prostrate problems at bay.
Multivitamins
I agree that most of your vitamins should come from a healthy diet but multi's are like an insurance policy that you are gettin enough. Your body will just get rid of any excess.
