I remember the Weider Protein cans back around 69-70 in magazines. I thought the stuff pour out like a liquid, well at least in the pics. Well, I went down to the store and bought a case. Got home and put two holes in it to pour into a glass, well nothing came out. So I got a can opener and removed the lid, to my surprise the stuff was like pudding. I brought it back, remind you I rode my bike about 10 miles one way to get this stuff, lol Holding the case in one hand. I told the store that the stuff was bad and I wanted a refund or another case. Well, they gave me another case, off I go home. Put two more holes into it and the same happen again, this was the way it was suppose to be. MAN PICTURES LIE! DAMN WEIDER!

Re: Best/favorite protein shake?

I've been taking an undenatured cold-processed whey for awhile. It doesnt taste quite as good as regular whey (still good though) but is supposed to give good health benefits from an ingredient called Glutathione. I've been using Now's brand - Whey Protein Isolate, but Optimum Nutrition or Designer Whey are also recommended.

Glutathione, your body's most powerful healing agent

Optimum Nutrition's new type is called 100% Natural Whey Gold Standard. The new label has block letters w/gold color and is different than their normal 100% Whey label. Vitaminshoppe carries it a good price if you have one locally to save on shipping.

I like strawberry Nitrene by At Large Nutrition

Taste great and mixes very well. Haven't yet tried the vanilla and chocolate yet.

Designer Whey mixed in milk is to me like a milk shake.

Yeah, that's the way I feel about the MetRx (which is why I add it to others so often). Too many protein/MRP drinks lack that "body" and "mouth" that makes 'em a treat instead of something you just force down.

Very true. When you mention MetRx, I remeber when they made a peach flavor and I use to mix it with Crystal Light iced tea. If I remeber correctly it was made only during the summer months.

3) Myoplex Original Tropical Variety (some of the varieties are tastier than others ), also mixed with skim milk and ice cubes.

4) Post-intense-cardio: Nu-Whey "Protein Shots", premixed/RTD (I also eat a regular meal as soon as I've had a shower). These taste mighty weird/artificial but are a handy way to not miss a protein feeding- lots of protein in just a few ounces of liquid.

5) Post-heavy-workout: MuscleTech AnatorP70 Orange with some Isopure ZeroCarb PineappleOrangeBanana added in, mixed with ice cubes and water.

As you can probably tell, Meal Replacement Powders and supplemental protein figure rather prominently in my daily diet

I did a few jugs of MuscleMilk PeanutButter Chocolate, but IMO it was mighty *yuck* unless I added some MetRx to it.
Nice recipes there Accum.
If you dont mind me asking, what height/weight are you? You sound very dedicated!
