I ended up buying Duragloss AW at the Duragloss website this past week since I can no longer locate anyone in my area that sells their products. I am wondering if anyone in the NE region has been able to purchase the DG product line OTC.
We do have CarQuest in my local area but they say they aren't really part of the main CarQuest company and only use the nameplate for recognition. I called three CQ stores and got the same story. Two of the persons I spoke with did a search on the DG part numbers and came up with nothing.
In the past I have been able to purchase DG products at a store called "Federated" auto parts. Unfortunately, the small local store is no longer in business. There is another store about 10 miles away but I didn't bother since I never travel to that area and realized I can pay the on-line shipping charges from DG which would be equivalent for me to drive to the store with the high cost of gasoline (and no sales tax paid).
I ordered a couple more bottles of the car wash and a bottle of AW. Total, including shipping, was under $22.
Thanks | |

I was able to find the full line at a Carquest up by my buddy's house (35 minutes away), but the local one has never heard of AquaWax (seriously you gotta see this place, they've got a gallon of Meg's #80 that must be 10 years old, the label is UV yellowed and the display doesn't even sit in the sun. Tell me how the car wash works out, I've been extremely impressed with AW and i'd like to try more of their line.

it is funny how some CQ stores have it all and some never heard of it...lol...
I have 2 CQ stores near me....about 15 miles apart.....one has some stuff but can order what they do not have in stock..the other one never heard of DG and can not find it...something to do with how the store is setup with the CQ name.

Excellent service ordering from the website and the $4.95 shipping cost is more than fair IMO. It would be nice just to drive down the street and get more product though. | |

So I went to order today and I saw the reflection of his computer in a mirror behind him, he was going to order it right off the Duragloss sight! Told him I need to think about it some more and left, I'll order my own from the website, that way it will come right to my house.

I had been buying 16oz bottles locally for under $4...I guess those days are over.
Thanks for the replies, guys. I guess I excercised my only option and bought on-line.

Yeah, when you take a step back, and consider this shipping charge at face value, that's downright cheap. I can't travel to my local store for that price when I consider time and gasoline spent.

Is there a definitive thread on working with the AW? The instructions on the label are somewhat limited and I am wondering if there are any tips/tricks for using this stuff.
Thanks.
