Re: Official Motorcycle Thread
JDookie, I would go for the VRSCD Night Rod personally. Ive never ridden one, but the VRSCAW has a bit of a wierd seating postion that I think was changed a bit on the Night Rods? There's no way I could afford 2 Harleys though.
Black240SX, Ill have to check it out and see what they are like.
Deenice21, who makes the 650R?
I used to ride a Ninja ZX6 back in the day and I really liked it, it wasnt overly aggressive but I was younger then too. I might have to look at the Ducattis (they are expensive though?) and does Honda still make the Interceptor?

All day comfort with sportbike-ish handling and looks?
I loved my V-strom 650... shown here with lower fairing kit.

My first bike was a 96 Bandit 600s, bought brand new, similar charachteristics, but traded it in 2 weeks later for a zx6

Yeah, I like the VRSCDX Night Rod Special the best. I love the red accents, which are just like the Raven Yamaha R1's.

Yup, Honda does still make the Interceptor. If you are looking for a less aggressive riding position than the hard core sportbikes, the VFR (Interceptor) would be a great bike for you. Here is a link to the 08 Interceptor page at Honda.
Honda Motorcycles
It is only offered in Silver for 08...

Re: Official Motorcycle Thread
Oooh I like the Interceptor! I might have to go to a dealer and check one out. I like the ABS model but at $12k its only about $5500 less then my softail was before fee,s taxes, etc. I think I might also want to check out the Kawasaki ZZR600 and 650R, they seem much less aggressive then a pure sport bike and are cheap.

Chuck,
The Interceptor or also called the VFR does not have traditional "crotch rocket" ergonomics. Just as a comparison sit on a CBR1000RR and then sit on a VFR, the difference will be immediately apparent. Even though Honda lists the VFR with it's other sport bikes it is more of a sport tourer than a pure sport bike.
There is a great forum dedicated to the VFR if you want to find out more.

Re: Official Motorcycle Thread
Here's one we detailed up here at the shop back a little while ago. Wish I would've gotten a few before pics because this thing was hit. Guys granddaughter put her flip flop on the muffler when it was hot and melted it. So there was a lot to do. But I think it turned out pretty good
