Pin Stripes and decals

When you apply an LSP, do you tape off or go over or just avoid?
Make any difference if you apply w/pc vs. by hand?

I try to move "along" or "off" the stripe/decal so I'm not forcing excess product up against the edge. So I do those areas by hand as opposed to machine; this is a situation where something like the random orbital motion is *not* what I want.

I tape them off if they're not clearcoated. Push the tape down with a credit card or similiar and cut around it with a plastic razor. Roll off the tape with the buffer so you don't pull it up. Round the corners of the tape if possible.
