Has anyone used PolyGlow

I am a believer in polymer sealants in Arizona because the heat sublimates waxes so quickly during summer months. I use Zaino on my cars and it performs very well, but the cars are garaged and see much less sun that the boat.

JUNK!!

A client of mine tried it with horrible results. I then went to his place an d tried it myself. POOP!!

I ended up just compounding and polishing the traditional way.

I am not looking for miracles. Other forums reports indicate that PolyGlow works pretty well for "chalked" surfaces, but my boat is in good shape. I am simply looking for a good polymer finish - ala Zaino. I may simply have or try ZAIO and CS on my boat to see how it works, but was hoping that some one on the forum could chip in with some helpful comments on polymer finishes for boats. Collinite does a great job, but does not last that long out here in Arizona where heat destroys wax finishes very quickly. All is well if you want to wax all the time, but a boat is BIG compared to a car, so I am seeking some labor savings.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is!! It is like applying a coat of varnish, it will start to flake off in around a year

On new or like new boat finishes I either use Klasse HGSG or Four Star UPP.

If your interested you might want to check out X-Kote X-Kote Paint Renewal Systems Inc I use this product in my detail shop and have done allot of 16-21ft boats in the past 3 years with it. As you read the website you may say to yourself " ya this looks like poly glow" but it's not. For poly glow to work as a true clear coat it needs to have a catalyst in order to activate the base chemical. From what I see on there website there isn't one so that tells me it's not a true clear coat. I use this product for many applications, cars, rv's boats, seedoo's, snowmobiles, bikes, quads. Anything that has a traditional base clear, single stage or gel coat surface. The closest dealer to Arz is Las Vegas. There doing a few boats off Lake Mead.

My last one. Polished Megs #4 heavy cut and white wool. Cleaned,washed, dried, degreased, and X-kote'd

It seems that every time a boat detailing question comes up, someone pushes X-Kote which is NOT a detailing product, but a true refinishing product. My concern was/is not refinishing my boat, but keeping my very good finish just like it is. The best advice received so far from this group was to use Klasse- which I will do. I also have my Zaino and will try some of that and compare the two so that maybe I can comment on how each performs compared to Collonite.

Try 1000P by finish Kare its a synthetic "wax".
