I know it is called EKU, but around here we really don't consider Richmond to be located in Eastern KY.

Let me be the first (from Autopia) to welcome you to the bluegrass state. This is a very scenic part of the state and I hope you'll enjoy your stay here. I am originally from Columbus, OH, but have been down here in Lexington for many, many moons.

With Lexington just 20 odd miles up I-75 and Louisville about 80 miles west you should be able to find plenty to do. Do try to make it to the races at Keeneland (in Lexington) sometime; it is a very beautiful location.

If you have any questions about the area I'll try to answer them.... good luck getting moved in and with your studies.
