58 years old and married 31 years this week (October 1st). Definitely cheaper to keep her now.

You ask either of my kids and they will tell you they are glad their mom and I divorced. I really hope you aren't dealing with (or ignoring) some pretty tough issues just to stay together for your son. Obviously, kids do best in a home with two loving parents but if you guys are fighting all the time, that isn't good. I am happily divorced. My marriage flat out sucked other than having my two sons. As bad as it was, I'd go through it again for my kids. Just would have gotten out sooner.

No idea if I will get married again. I do a lot better with a FWB relationship than living with someone. I need my space and my time alone so I can read my newspaper, ride my road bike, etc. Just not the type of person that feels I need to be with my wife/girlfriend all the time.

these are my feelings as well (i like my space sometimes), and that's what makes me think if i'm ever going to get married...

Fortunately Accumulatorette and I both like having time alone and we give each other just the right amount of space while still doing lots of stuff together. Neither one of us would like the joined-at-the-hip thing

Married 11 years, we both married relatively late but neither one of us have been previously divorced.

I'd guess about half the people we know are still first time married, half are divorced/re-married. Pretty even split.
