Re: Dress Shirts Reccomendations...

He doesnt have a website at the moment, and his catalogue are directly from the manufacterers so he cannot send them out. Ide say the easiest way to do it is for you to call him up and tell you what you would like and we can take pics of our inventory and send them to you then you can call him back and do whatever you want. Again his number is 540 989 3101 and his cell phone is 540 3532536.

Re: Dress Shirts Reccomendations...

I'm not much into the whole fashion thing. I usually wear Fox Racing or Alpinestar genre stuff. However, as far as polos go, I've always liked Tommy Bahama. Two of those lasted me for four years and I was very disappointed to get rid of them after that. I think they are towards the pricey side, however.

Re: Dress Shirts Reccomendations...

Tommy Bahama is nice...but a little too expensive I try to keep the polo price under $60 and dress shirt under $75. I have been shopping at Macy's lately and have been very pleased with the prices. I use to shop at Abercrombie all the time but kinda grew out of it I suppose since I seen I could get more dressy clothes for the same price...plus I'm not much for the whole Abercrombie sex marketing scheme towards younger kids.

One of the brands at Macy's which I really like is Alfani. I just purchased an Alfani wool coat and some Steve Madden shoes last night because of their sale...if anyone is looking for a good deal head to their website! Sale ends today I believe.

Re: Dress Shirts Reccomendations...

I appreciate it...I would definitely be interested in the polos if you could snap a few pictures of the different styles and what colors you have available.

Thanks Daniel

Good call on the Abercrombie. I have always refused to give them any money. I'm not much for any of those mall type brands though. Way too much money for what you are getting. I bought my last polos at Cabelas for $14 a piece LOL. I did love the Tommy Bahama, but that was a one time idiocy/dont care thing.

Right now they only have 1 style. Its a really long story about how the guy got started but basically this brand is going to go HUGE. The guy whose helping him market this (or is somehow related) is solely responsible for vineyard vines staying in business a while ago. This is the next vineyard vines. The stuff is great.

Re: Dress Shirts Reccomendations...

Are these the colors you have available? I'm assuming the polos you are now talking about are the Souther Tide you mentioned earlier; I seen your dad's store was listed.

Southern Tide

If so please let me know how much they are per polo and I will decide which ones I want, also could you look into the pricing for flat front dress pants from Southern Tide? I seen a picture on the site above and liked the look.

Thanks

Re: Dress Shirts Reccomendations...

What about ties? I think a great tie can make a great shrit even better. Ties can take that plain white dress shrit and set it apart. Brooks Brothers has some great ties. I also get ties from Vineyard Vines. They are bit more "fun", but look great with a dress shirt and pants.

Also, if you are getting french cuffs, instead of metal cuff links, try those bobbles. They look great also.

Eric

Re: Dress Shirts Reccomendations...

I went to Chicago this past weekend and had a chance to top by H&M. I purchased on of their dress shirts and absolutely looove it! The tag says it is made out of cotton but it has a very light-weight feel to it which is nice and has like a sateen/shiny look to it which I like. Also, it is their slim fit and it is the best fit I have ever had in a shirt. I hope I am able to find more of these types of shirts online somewhere because I am getting tired of the regular look my other shirts have to them.

Re: Dress Shirts Reccomendations...

Ditto for the JC Penney's shirts. Look for the Stafford Executive 100% cotton no-iron shirts - usually a nice pinpint oxford. Not a lot of choices in colors and patterns but when on sale, they are by far the best buy in a quality dress shirt. Kohl's also has a similar 100% cotton no-iron but not quite as crisply tailored.
All are a traditional fit - roomy when I was 19, but not so roomy now! Also, think no-iron/no-wrinkle fabric for your shirts.
