Re: Who will win the 2007 F1 Championship?

Hamilton continues to impress. Wow. Not a single win, and he's leading the championship. Wouldn't that be something to win the whole championship without a single P1 finish? Talk about consistency! On both his and Mercedes' part.

I can't wait for Monaco. It should be a great race. I think either Felipe or Kimi will take it, however I still think Hamilton will win the championship.

Hamilton for me, that would be fantastic for him on his first F1 season. A fellow englishman too

Speaking of Indy, minor threadjack . . .

While I love that there's a GP here in the States, I really, really wish it wasn't at Indy; I hate that track layout. I soooooo want to see an F1 car taking the corkscrew at Laguna Seca.

Tort

ObOnTopic: I've been pulling for Hamilton myself . . . I love seeing rookies do well.

Re: Who will win the 2007 F1 Championship?

Agreed about Indy! F1 testing at Laguna has not gone well, though. That corkscrew, combined with heavy aero loads provides tremendous stress to the chassis. I want to see F1 cars at Barber Motorsports in Birmingham, AL!

Re: Who will win the 2007 F1 Championship?

Back in the early 80's the F1 race held here in Detroit was fantastic. Senna and Mansell always put on a great show. It was run through the downtown streets along the river and through a long tunnel reminiscent in some ways to the Monaco circuit. Racing finally returns here Labor Day weekend with an IRL event.

Re: Who will win the 2007 F1 Championship?

Well I just realized this thread was started. I know I'm a bit late but my boy is Alonso. He is from the same place my mom and half of my family and friends are from, and he is one hell of a driver. Hamilton is doing well and to tell you the truth I hate it lol. Masa is kicking a$$ as well. This season has not gone the way anyone expected I don't think. Oh well, we'll find out shortly what happens. Only a few more races. For the american gp I think they need to do it in vegas right through the strip. That would be amazing to see. Anyway, GO ALONSO
