When I sanded the car down all the way, it look liked like an undercover cop car, especially with the black rims lol. But hopefully I will get it painted in january since some loser hit my car and ran off, so now i gotta get that fixed.

Same here. Every time I see someone do a color change, it never looks good an ends up destroying the vehicle. It's such a major paint in the butt to do all the jambs properly. They are almost as much work as the exterior surfaces. Throwing a candy in the mix will surely make things even harder.

Thats true, so the color that I have decided on is going to be a Pearl Black, its simple and it will look clean on that car. Any Candy will atrract too much attention, something I am not looking for when Im driving late at night.

Re: Going to be painting my car

1 good thing about cars painted in pearl is that the jambs usually don't get done in 3 stage (pearl). That in itself could save you lots of work.

Re: Going to be painting my car

Thats one of the main reasons why I didnt change the color of the car, didnt want to go through with painting the door jams, inside of the trunk, hood etc . Cant wait to get this paint job out the way...all i gotta do now is wetsand th whole car lol

Re: Going to be painting my car

I like the idea of pearl black. I talked a kid out of black with metal flake into the pearl black. I should have it in the shop in a few weeks.

Huh, I learn something every day! My only experiences (at least that comes to mind ) with pearls are with Audis, and they *do* do the jambs with the pearl stage (at least on the ones I've seen).

roadmaster_Tx- Glad to hear you decided to go that route

Re: Going to be painting my car

Typical insurance adjuster. David - you don't get to keep any of the money you steal form the insured, let them get their jambs pearled!!!

Just breaking your bells.
